Players decrease too soon & fast in Fifa 17

We were discussing this matter with some guys who play the career mode in Fifa's and came to the conclusion that in Fifa 17 players decrease a little too soon and too fast. Also noticed that some odd stats started decreasing. We call it "the curse of 29" as that's unfortunately generally the age most players start to decrease in Fifa 17.

I think it's fine than when players become 30+ they start decreasing in movement and that's natural, but it's a bit harsh. For instance I play on Arsenal and some players drop like 10 points in pace, agility, strength, volleys and such in just one season. Basically those players are just useless, they're decreasing so fast and so heavily that it's not even realistic.

In my opinion injuries of course should affect the age a player starts to decrease. But considering there's a little a player can do with injuries IG i'm not sure it'd be a good idea to implement.

So why not make the decrease system a little different for Fifa 18? Yes some physical attributes should start to decrease once you get older, but we've some technical and stregth attributes decreasing as well? Strength should be going up and technical can be manually trained.

They still haven't changed regression? I remember this being the same in FIFA 13, was better in 16 and now it's back to being ridiculous? Damn EA.

Yep it was much better in Fifa 16... some 30 year olds could even develop by 1 or 2 overalls.

It's unfortunate but it's generally always been the case in FIFA that players just decline too unfairly once they reach 30. Using them from earlier than 30, you'd never get players like Ibrahimovic, Lahm, Robben or Ribery who are still amazing well into their 30s.

It's why I'll try and keep hold of players with stamina of over 85 whenever possible, 90 even better, as it means that they can afford to lose a fair bit of their movement without it affecting their usefulness too much.

Fifa 16 had some 30 year olds even develop. I remember James Milner and Javi Fuego develop 1-2 points overall after the first season.. And players generally started to decrease a little later. I felt like Fifa 16 had it almost correct.

Good thing is we can manually train players, but I mean Petr Cech loses -14 GK kicking after first season. There's just no way that's realistic

Fifa 16 was really good ,maybe a bit unrealistic ,cause i remember 32 year old Dani Alves to progress +4 on overall ,but still better than 30 year olds starting to loose 1-2 overalls a season...They really really messed it up this year and it´s quite Career mode breaking thing.

14? Good grief. I am in late February (season 1) and he's down 8 or 10 (can't remember).

Perhaps that's why I've manged to just stick with FIFA 16 for a second year and I'm still enjoying a lengthy and relatively realistic career.
