X360 NHL Legacy Play Now Roster 2016-17
Continuing thread of previous update made by ranger9911.

Update #6 of the 2016-17 season. Please see the description below.


Notes about 07/03/17 release :

a. & :
- All transactions and contracts through March 07, 2017 completed
- NHL lines set to best lines
- AHL set to best lines.

- Updated all Captains, Assistant Captains, jersey numbers, and faces
- All NHL/AHL goalie gear updated
- FAs contracts set to 0 for those who want to start Be A GM
- C. McAruthur, J. Lupul, D. Bolland, P. Datsyuk, A. Ference - ratings reduced to 36 as they will not be playing this year but count against the cap
- Copies of Datsyuk made for ARI and P. Dupuis on their respective teams as their contracts count for this year. Each contract set to one year.

b. EU/CHL/QMJHL/WHL/OHL:
- Using CHL will cause game to crash!!
**I eventually plan to use the CHL as a prospect dump. That project has not yet begun**

D. Miscellaneous:
- Legends Team as a created team.
- Team Europe – Overwrote team UK
- Team North America – Overwrote Team Kazakhstan
- All-Star 2017 game team (East & West) are updated

E. What’s next (will see...):
- NHL/AHL transactions will continue to be top priority
- Add rookies/2017 draftees
- Updated potentials as necessary
- Add Vegas Golden Knights with prospective roster

- Best way to add this file:
Use Horizon’s replacement option under the contents screen (see post 49 on page 7 of this thread on instructions on how to load this roster onto your USB). See original post for that

Hello everyone,

here is the updated roster post trade deadline.

So sorry if previous file was not working, i might have done something wrong after exporting it... This one is surely working, it's straight from my XBOX, didn't alter it after changing the lines.

Please test and it and tell me if it's all good this time!

Now that the trade deadline is over, i think it would be a good idea to update some stats. Like in this update, i made sure Laine was almost pair to Matthews.
Feel free to ask for adjustments
Would be nice to put my hands on a NHL 17 stats for each player, made it current.

ok so i have used this roster (thank you very much for all the hard work) and got the nhl teams down to 23 man rosters and trimmed the ahl teams down so that they have anywhere between 24 - 27 guys so that you can make trades in be a gm and the ahl teams are atleast 90% accurate with 99% accurate jersey numbers for ahl and nhl. my problem now is how to get the free agent list smaller when you start a season. i put most of the free agent list in to the hidden list but i can't put them all or i get the tprogress bar error and alot if not all of the European players on Europe teams are on the free agent list when you start a be a gm season.

Any one know how to get around this with out going and making everyones stats 36 so teams don't sign these players?

Are you able to attach the file that is already set to DB exension? Seems like that's the only way I'm usually able to upload rosters.

I still can't get the file to work using Horizon's Replace prompt under contents...
We do load up the file from Roster not under a Legacy profile, correct? I'm sure I'm missing something here...it keeps saying damaged file.

I was able to download Rangers November update after finding the .con folder finally. It wouldn't simply replacing and save and rehashing. I also switched from WinRar to 7Zip thinking maybe that the problem was with extracting.

I was able to get Ranger's Dec. '16 update. Gotta say I like the game especially the graphics and in-game stats. I need to tweak my sliders since I'm used to 2K haven't really played EA since 2001!

If it's okay with everyone, I'm going to update the rosters for 2017 now that I can't edit any more players in 2K10. From what I understand it's difficult to create players in NHL view but I will try or just do it manually with the game.

I'm bummed that with another franchise coming in Vegas we would have to sub out a team to take it's place in season/Be a GM mode. I'm guessing either leave the new team or sub Arizona???

I am also having same issue, comes up damaged.
Also using Horizon's replace method.

Try using the earlier file he based his file off of...believe it was good through December '16....I think the error stems from not having a .CON folder for us to replace the saved file on the USB...not sure. These recent EA files are a pill to work with. I'll have a new one up for 2017. I'm enjoying working with NHL view- I haven't messed with it in over a decade!
