AlTito's NHL 12 Sliders

Hi everyone, here are the sliders I use right now in NHL 12. I find it to be a good mix of fun and realism, with a good amount of loose pucks. Hope you will enjoy them. Feel free to add comments, questions or feedbacks.

Are you getting a decent amount of penalties called?

Re: AlTito's NHL 12 Sliders

These seem rather good. I just moved puck control back to 1/1 because on 0/0 it's too hard to pull off the dekes with LB+RS and good puck handlers lose puck when they get slightly bumped.

Also, how can you play with pass assist on 0? Passing on the rush and short passes are impossible at 0. I have it at 3 which I feel is too much assist, would love to have something between 2 and 3, I feel 3 is too much assist and at 2 it's impossible to pass on the rush. Am I just that bad with aiming, lol?

no...i agree - a 2.5 slider would be perfect and agree with your thoughts 100%.

Not that much penalties, but a decent amount, yes. I would say between 3 and 6 per game. You may try to increase the penalties slider in the rules section to 4 instead of 3 if you want to see more of them.

I know these sliders may seem a bit hard with puck control at 0 and no pass assist. I was having trouble too when I started to play with these settings last year, but now I simply can't play otherwise. It gives a lot of loose pucks and helps to look more like a real hockey game. You know, even best players can't deke all the way up of the ice everytime, they loose the puck a lot too. With some practicing, I'm pretty sure you would get used to it and start loving it, but if you prefer, I see no problem about increasing CPU assists.

Puck control at 0 is key. No superstar player can just dangle their way up the ice in a game situation. In practice they look like gods, but defenseman are just way too good in the NHL to dangle around everytime. Sure they do it on occasion in games, but they can't do it at will like this game represents. In this game dekeing is too easy to begin with. For me the goal is to be in awe when I pull of a sweet move, instead of feeling like oh I've done that 300 times before. It adds excitement when you actually pull off a sweet move.
