NOTES - Use plays, this is a must. Sucks not having practice plays. - CPU is super tough, they change PoE often, make sure to stay on top of your adjustments (*put PoE on manual otherwise the CPU will be changing it all the time on you which in my experience causes problems)
- Defense matters, the Pacers will lockdown the paint and force jumpers.
- Don't jump or gamble on defense, you'll get burned for an easy 2 by the CPU.
- Force players to their off hands and give up deep jumpers.
- If you get down big and the CPU is hitting everything, don't give up, make smart plays and get easy buckets. Tighten up the defense and start to try and chip away. 48 minutes fellas, 48 minutes.
- CPU still has an issue of passing too much too quickly and forcing their way into the paint. Nothing I have done has been able to rectify this. Hard-coded issue in my opinion.
- Know your players strengths/weaknesses. Abuse those strengths and cover those weaknesses with smart thinking (ie gameplanning).
- Create mismatches and go to work.
- If a CPU player gets an early foul, go at him and take that player out the game with 2 fouls. If the put him back in during the 2nd QTR, go at him and sit his *** down again. GO TO WORK.
- Final note, this set is not easy by any means. It will take a bit out of you to compete with the best of teams, as it should. The NBA is the best of the best and that is what I want to reflect. Make smart choices, take your time, think, think, think and you will have the opportunity to get that W.
OH and FYI, the SLIDERS never save correctly, so you're gonna have to check after tipoff each game. Tendencies get wacked out, so do a few other sliders, so check every time.
I'm super all for it being a challenge. But I also want sliders that will occasionally allow you to blow out a weaker team. Do you think yours accomplish this? Sorry if I asked this before.

Yes, the other day I was playing Kings at Thunder (me) and it was close in the 1st quarter, 2nd quarter I stretched a 13 point lead at half. 3rd quarter I pushed the lead to 20+ with starters, subbed bench in and maintained lead to win by 20+.
Also its not so much the sliders that will make you blow out an opponent or not, I mean I could make a set to where it would be super easy and you could do it regularly but all I've really done is take away the CPU background boosts in ratings and then tweaked ratings/tendencies to play "more realistic". Are you gonna blow out the Thunder with the Jazz? I guess you could but it wouldn't be easy by any means. Now, flip that, could you blow out the Jazz with the Thunder, yes, pretty easily if you play smart and don't allow them to stay in the game.
If you want a set that will allow you to get a blowout w/o trying then this set might not be what you want. I am trying to replicate the inherent difficulty that is playing in the NBA. Every night any team can beat any team, it comes down to execution and determination, sometimes luck.
I played a couple game and have some feedback, but first a suggestion to all trying out sliders: sliders and settings do in fact save in mygm so that is a good option to avoid putting them in all the time. Definitely check after tip-off to be sure, but this has worked solidly for me.
On to the sliders themselves...
Things I liked:
-Level of Competition: I think these do a really good job of creating an environment where you will have to execute to be successful. If you have a gameplan and you're able to follow and adjust it according to the in-game action, you'll like your chances against any opponent. Notice I said chances, you win some and you lose some but you'll give yourself a good chance to get a good result if you can execute.
-Tough but Realistic CPU D: The defense will not let you run around whereever you want (unless you have mismatch), but an appropriate counter move will still be successful if the timing is correct. This applies to dribbling/triple threat on the perimeter, going to work in the post and even reading the def on an off-ball screen and leading your teammate to the open area (whether that be a flare or curl or whatever).
Things That I'm Not So Sure about:
-Free Throw Difficulty: While 75 has been the norm for J-Will's sliders in the past and has worked, it feels extra difficult to make FT's on next-gen with the slider this high.
Things I Actually Changed:
I felt a little defensive muddiness as we've discussed before JWill. The speed and quickness sliders felt pretty good so I was trying to figure out what to change to alleviate this.
It ended up being the Defensive Awareness slider.
I moved it up from 60 to 70 and noticed a huge difference in my player's ability off-ball and on-ball to change direction and recover from a mistake. I brought it back to 60 to make sure it wasn't just a placebo effect and then went back up to 70 and the change is real. The players definitely react much quicker with the DEF AWR rating higher.I ended up finding a middle ground on the 60-70 continuum at 63.
So my DEF AWR sliders are now 63/43 to keep all things equal.
I haven't noticed any problems with CPU DEF AWR up to 43 as of yet.
Lastly, to respond to an earlier post, yes you can blow out lesser teams if you execute well and keep them from executing. Simply put, the team who wins more possessions will win the game on these sliders (exactly as it should be).

Just loaded up the game and my sliders were reset like they sometimes do....but as I was going to re-do them something told me to change the gamestyle from default to custom and what do you know...the sliders are all there. Next time the sliders/game options reset for you guys instead of inputting them all over just change the gamestyle from default to custom to see if your changes were saved.
FYI. I'm on the XOne. The sliders were saved under the custom option but the gameplay settings, coaching options and controller options (defensive assist strength) were reset. I then fixed the stuff that got reset and went to the dashboard and closed 2K14 from there (if you have the XOne you know what i mean) and when I restarted the game the only thing that got reset was the defensive strength assist.

Oh no I do not want a slider to easily blowout peeps. But I do want one that will occasionally allow you to blowout teams when you play strategically. And it seems like your sliders will do just that.
Now my last question is HoF or All-Star? Why did you put up two separate ones?

Had some good games out the box on AS/SIM so I wanna delve a bit into the AS world and see what I can come up with.
