I'm not a Brewers fan so maybe my opinion doesn't matter, but does anyone really want a seven foot tall statue of Bud Selig to welcome them to the ballpark?

Honestly, I'd be surprised if Milwaukee fans that grew up during the time he took over that franchise are upset over this move.

That is absolutely the reason for the statue, but in my opinion, an over-sized statue seems like the wrong to acknowledge his contributions to baseball in Milwaukee. He doesn't really have the look that translates well to seven-foot tall statues. Maybe a special section of seating or a pavilion named after him would have been a better choice, or even just a more under-stated plaque.Comment
