Assetto Corsa EVO will include an open world for players to drive through when it arrives in early 2025. As confirmed by Misha Charoudin, the map will be based on real world roads around NĂĽrburgring.
GTPlanet reports that Kunos Simulazioni has laser scanned over 600 square miles of the “Eifel” region, but mention that it won’t all be available when early access begins on January 16, 2025.
The game will feature an extensive selection of cars, ranging from everyday road vehicles to high-performance hypercars, covering different periods of automotive history with VR and triple monitor support.
Each vehicle is meticulously recreated using Kunos’ advanced simulation technology, enhancing the realism beyond that of the original Assetto Corsa, one of the most popular driving simulators of the past decade. Assetto Corsa EVO marks a significant advancement in the series, delivering an enriched sim-racing experience with a full 24-hour race cycle, dynamic weather and track conditions, cutting-edge lighting and photorealistic visuals.
For anyone around the Indianapolis area from December 12 through December 14, you will have a chance to play the game at the Performance Racing Show in the Sim Racing Arena section.
