WrestleMania 41 saw plenty of headlines, from John Cena winning a record-breaking 17th world title to Paul Heyman’s shocking betrayal of both CM Punk and Roman Reigns, which are just two of the scenarios that have sparked creativity in our minds.

Without further ado, here’s our rundown of 10 angles you should consider booking in your WWE 2K25 Universe mode after the drama of WrestleMania 41.

Given the stacked roster WWE has, there are some notable names missing from these storylines. However, this just gives you more freedom to expand upon in your universe mode.

Post-WrestleMania 41: 10 Must-Try WWE 2K25 Booking Ideas

Re-volution

A new faction is brewing within the WWE following Paul Heyman’s surprise allegiance with Seth Rollins. Former Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker also aligned with the duo in the Raw after Mania when he attacked CM Punk and Roman Reigns.

This yet-to-be-named faction could roll back the years with a new incarnation of nWo but, with the LWO in full force, we’re going down another route with this ensemble and instead dreaming of creating a new version of Evolution.

The stars are already aligning, with Seth Rollins providing a Triple H-like leader and Breakker bringing the muscle, like Batista back in the day. This leaves room for a Ric Flair and Randy Orton-like duo to arrive on the scene.

For an experienced name to fill the Flair role, there are a bunch of options, including AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre, or even Gunther, while the list of potential young blood to add into the side for the Orton slot is similarly stacked, with my pick being Carmelo Hayes, who needs a push.

Becky Lynch Heel Turn

Becky Lynch’s return after almost a year away from the ring at WrestleMania brought tag-team glory for her and Lyra Valkyria, though only for a very short stint as the titles were lost to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the Raw after Mania—which also saw Lynch turn heel after attacking Valkyria following the defeat.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s still the mystery of who attacked Bayley and caused her to miss WrestleMania. The most likely outcome is that it was Lynch herself, furthering her heel turn and adding another angle for the months ahead.

Could Lynch potentially take a spot in our new-look Evolution? Given her husband Rollins’s role as a leading figure, that’s definitely a possibility, and it would bring the faction into the modern era.

Yeet-mania

It’s been quite a year for Jey Uso, who realigned with the Bloodline to take down his sibling Solo Sikoa and his entourage, following a brief stint with the Intercontinental Championship round his belt, and he now holds the big one after victory against Gunther at WrestleMania.

It remains to be seen who Jey’s first big feud is in the defense of his Heavyweight Championship, though it’s more than likely a rematch with Gunther will take place sooner rather than later. Beyond that, there are plenty of other options, including Rollins and McIntyre.

Dom-ination And Finn Balor

Dominik Mysterio took the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania at the expense of fellow Judgement Day member Finn Balor, and it’s pretty obvious that another storm is brewing within the faction after a turbulent year.

Pre-WrestleMania, the expectation was for Balor to turn face and feud against his former faction, but the positive reaction to Mysterio’s win opens the door for a face-turn, particularly as fellow members Liv Morgan and Carlito are already popular.

Whichever route you go down, Mysterio vs Balor is a strong angle to give the new champion his first big feud.

Cena And Orton showdown

WWE is rolling back the years following John Cena’s 17th title win, snatching the belt from Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania, with an attack from Randy Orton on the Raw after Mania marking the start of a fresh feud for the duo—and it should absolutely be a long way.

Cena vs. Orton could more than comfortably be a feud that goes on for the long run. It could potentially be this year’s version of CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, with eye-catching clashes before a final showdown at the end of the year, where Orton, hopefully, wins the title.

I highly doubt Cena will retire with the belt and ruin wrestling, as he’s promised, and Orton being the one to dethrone him pushes him closer to Cena’s record and opens the door for more interesting angles (more on that later).

New Day’s New Era

Thank God for the New Day. Following their shocking turn on Big E at the trio’s 10-year anniversary, The New Day have once again surged to the top of the tag-team division and have an abundance of heat on them, which should be capitalized upon.

With their experience, The New Day can lead a rivalry with a younger tag-team duo to help get them over and has the potential to carry any opponent in the tag-team division—which has admittedly been a bit of a mess since last year’s WrestleMania.

There’s plenty of strength in the Raw tag-team division and The New Day as champions should streamline the process to make less of a mess.

Cody’s Next Chapter

What’s next for Cody Rhodes? Choosing not to hit John Cena with the championship belt ultimately cost him everything and led to a disappointing end to the story following last year’s glorious WrestleMania win. In truth, WWE should have booked this loss much better, but the mess opens the door for interesting storylines in the months ahead.

A heel turn for Rhodes has long been rumored and, having lost the belt being the good guy, now seems even more likely—but it has to be done correctly. Personally I think teasing it in the long run is good, with Cody initially aligning himself with Randy Orton and helping the Viper win the title.

Once that’s done, flip the switch and kick off a Rhodes vs Orton feud with Rhodes as the heel, ideally giving us a WWE version of Homelander from The Boys.

NXT Invasion

NXT is stacked with talent right now and the 2025 WWE Draft is sure to be a big one with plenty of names making the jump. However, it doesn’t need to be an official draft to mix-up the rosters and WWE has already given us hints of what to expect.

Roxanne Perez has appeared in the mainstream throughout 2025, disrupting the match between NXT champion Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky in the Raw after Mania, supported by fellow former champion Giulia.

With Rhea Ripley rushing to the defense, it seems highly likely that an Iyo & Ripley vs Perez & Giulia feud is on the horizon, but why stop there? You can bring the men’s division into the mix with the likes of Trick Williams and Oba Femi, leading to endless possibilities.

Karrion Kross Push

Karrion Kross made headlines on WrestleMania weekend despite his sideline appearance in the clash between AJ Styles and Logan Paul being minor, launching into a staggering rant in the post-show that proved Kross is ready for a big push.

Something is still brewing with Kross and Styles, which could lead to a clash shortly, but Kross and Logan Paul also have the potential to showcase some eye-catching clashes. You could thrust Kross into Rollins’ new faction if you wanted, but it’s unnecessary in my mind.

Instead, have Kross align with Drew McIntyre, who himself has been on a personal crusade to save the WWE, creating a devastating pair that can take down anyone.

Tiffy’s Time To Shine

Tiffany Stratton emerged victorious at WrestleMania against Charlotte Flair. Now it’s time to give her a feud where she can shine, after some pretty poor bookings since she cashed in to take the title from Nia Jax.

Bringing Flair back and immediately propelling her into a title clash with a Royal Rumble win was an unpopular decision, which locked Stratton into a rather disappointing feud. While it did begin to spice up in the final weeks, there should be better bookings ahead for Stratton.

Alexa Bliss, Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill are all on the Smackdown brand and have the potential to create an exciting story against Stratton, and you could always poach someone from Raw or NXT to mix things up.
