2K Adds Shams Charania, Matt Hurtwitz and Stan Van Gundy to NBA 2K25

2K has announced that NBA 2K25 will debut popular commentators and announcers for the first time, including NBA Insider Shams Charania, Historic Golden State Warriors PA Matt Hurtwitz, and NBA broadcaster Stan Van Gundy.

  • Stan Van Gundy: Real-life NBA broadcaster Stan Van Gundy, will bring his wealth of NBA knowledge and coaching experience to the commentary team of Kevin Harlan, Greg Anthony, Brian Anderson, Grant Hill, Doris Burke, Brent Barry, Richard Jefferson, Clark Kellogg, Mike Fratello and more to NBA 2K25.

  • Historic Warriors PA, Matt Hurtwitz: As NBA 2K25 introduces the Steph Era to MyNBA where players can relive the legendary 2016 run of Stephen Curry and the Warriors, NBA 2K will feature  the iconic former Warriors local PA Announcer Matt Hurwitz to capture this historic period and arena environment.

NBA 2K25 releases on September 6 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Fans who purchase before September 6 can play up to two days early, starting on Wednesday, September 4 at 5 AM ET. Players who previously pre-ordered any edition on compatible platforms at participating retailers are automatically eligible for the Early Tip-Off benefit. The PC version will have feature parity with the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 version of the game.
