2K Announces WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition

WWE 2K25 announces its Deadman Edition, featuring The Undertaker as its cover star.

For weeks, 2K Games has been teasing new features for the upcoming WWE 2K25. Among these new features is supposedly intergender wrestling and a potential Showcase mode centered around The Bloodline. And while fans of the WWE 2K series await a more proper first-look at the title, 2K has revealed one of the editions of the game that players will be able to purchase when it finally releases.

Early in the morning on January 27, the game’s official X account announced the Deadman Edition of WWE 2K25. As its name suggests, the artwork of the Deadman Edition features WWE legend and Hall of Famer The Undertaker in full garb.

Unfortunately, no other details about the WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition were revealed in the post. However, given the super-specific choice of name and cover athlete, it can be fairly speculated that it will be centered around Undertaker’s legendary 30-year career with WWE whilst also including exclusive goodies such as DLC packs, special attires, unlockables, etc.

A version of WWE 2K25 makes complete sense given Undertaker’s legacy in WWE, his continued involvement with the company, and his popularity amongst wrestling fans. And because the “Deadman” had a storied and varied career that lasted for over three decades — and consisted of several different high-profile storylines — there is no shortage of content for 2K to choose from when it comes to adding content for an edition centered around one of WWE’s most tenured and celebrated characters.

Though no official release date for WWE 2K25 has been revealed, 2K has promised to to showcase the game on January 28. WWE star Roman Reigns also teased that some details might be coming on January 27 during WWE’s weekly broadcast of Raw on Netflix.
