2K Foundations teamed up with NBA 2K25 cover athlete and Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson, SLAM’s Play with Purpose initiative and the A’ja Wilson Foundation to reveal a newly renovated basketball court at the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada.
This unveiling takes place during Women’s History Month, highlighting the need to create more opportunities for young female athletes. With three WNBA MVP awards, two WNBA championships, and two Olympic Gold Medals, Wilson has been a constant source of inspiration for young athletes, showing them how sports can be a powerful force for positive change.
“Basketball has given me so much, and now, with 2K Foundations, SLAM, and my foundation, we’re making sure the next generation has that same opportunity,” said A’ja Wilson. “As someone who grew up surrounded by a community that supported my dreams, it means the world to give back and create a space where kids—especially young girls—can play, grow, and believe in themselves.”
2K Foundations works to support underserved communities through sports clinics, community programs and court renovations. SLAM’s Play with Purpose initiative uses basketball to drive youth development and social impact. The A’ja Wilson Foundation furthers this by advocating for those with learning disabilities, promoting inclusivity, and empowering all young athletes to succeed.
