Assetto Corsa EVO is off the grid with an early access start. So far, we can only feel the throttle with Kunos Simulazioni’s racer being limited, but promising, in its offering. It won’t stay like that for long, however, as more content will be added as we approach its Fall 2025 release.
We will get 11 major updates before Assetto Corsa EVO reaches 1.0. And yes, one of the updates will bring the highly anticipated free-roam mode. All that said, below is the full Assetto Corsa EVO Early Access roadmap shared by the developers.

As of the first early access release, there are only Practice and Quick Race in terms of modes available in Assetto Corsa EVO. So as of right now, there is not much to burn rubber on. For something more substantial like Free Roaming and Multiplayer, we’ll have to wait until Early Access 3 and 4 launch. The two updates will likely roll out sometime in the summer as the the open world was previously scheduled for a summer release.
If we’re to make other obvious guesses here, the six updates titled “Early Access” are the major content drops and will be months apart, while anything marked with “Content Drop” will feature much smaller additions. All of this is, of course, in between lots of hotfixes and bug-squashing patches.
Once a few of these updates are available, we should be able to draw tentative timelines for big and small updates (if all of this is set and there are no bumps along the way, of course). We’ll be sure to update you once more is revealed, so hang tight and we’ll hurtle toward release in no time.
