With today’s patch, the Top 25 Toughest Places to Play rankings were also updated. Much like rosters, EA has said these will change throughout the year. Also just a reminder that these rankings will change in your dynasty mode as you progress through seasons.
However, there is no easy way to check these rankings without going into games or going to dynasty mode, and there are visual bugs with the rankings now depending on what mode you look at these (outside of the top 16), so we’ve compiled the new Top 25 Toughest Places to Play list as of August 29. Again, note that we have some visual bugs so I’m going to list what the rankings are based on what’s stated in Play Now and dynasty mode (at the start of a dynasty before the rankings start to change).
Either way, LSU is now atop the rankings (jumping from 3rd to 1st) as Texas A&M drops from 1st to 11th. Florida State also took a hit in the rankings, dropping from 9th to 14th (maybe in part due to their loss against Georgia Tech.
College Football 25 Toughest Places to Play Rankings
- LSU (up from #3)
- Penn State (up from #6)
- Ohio State (up from #4)
- Georgia (up from #5)
- Alabama (down from #2)
- Clemson (up from #12)
- Florida (up from #10)
- Oklahoma (no change)
- Oregon (up from #11)
- Michigan (up from #16)
- Texas A&M (down from #1)
- Tennessee (up from #13)
- Texas (up from #19)
- FSU (down from #9)
- Wisconsin (down from #7) AND South Carolina (no change)
Then the visual bugs really kick into gear, so let’s split this into Play Now and dynasty mode rankings for how they appear in-game:
Dynasty Mode (Year 1, Week 1) | Play Now |
16. South Carolina (down from #15) | 16. No team has been found so presumably this should be South Carolina (down from #15) |
