We knew about the guts of the mode based on prior previews that had been revealed, but this was EA’s first chance to strictly talk about what’s in Road to Glory this time around. You’ll be able to select QB, HB, WR, MLB, and CB as positions. You’ll then select archetype and other elements before getting to being recruited.

There is no high school games to play in this version, so you’re going to get right into being in college. Mini-games did make it in, and you’ll have other weekly activities to worry about between games, but this is certainly about getting you game to game over everything else.

But it does seem like there will be some fun touches like becoming academically ineligible or turning into Kevin Durant:

There might also be situations where you are playing poorly and the fans are just letting you have it. You’ll have to make a decision on how you want to respond. Do you want to take the high road? Criticize them? Make a burner and be your biggest hype man?

At the end of your journey, you will be able to import into Madden, but it does not appear you can become a “coach” like in previous versions of the mode.

There is a ton more to scope out, and I may be back later today with a deeper look, but this was never a mode I cared a ton about back in the day. So, it might be the one time I opt-out of really digging in because I would feel like a bit of a fraud trying to analyze a mode I never played much.
