eFootball 2022 Dream Team Guide - Different Ways to Play (Part Two)

In part one, I covered the basics of Dream Team and how to build a team. In part two, I’ll cover the different ways to play and actually compete within eFootball 2022‘s Dream Team mode.

What Are Seasons?

Within Dream Team there are numerous ways to play versus the offline CPU (AI) or player versus player (PvP). Both options have their pros and cons and offer various rewards via objectives depending on the nature of the competition — and for those who play against the AI, varying degrees of rewards based on the level of your AI (professional, top player, and so on). Before we go into these various modes/challenges, it’s important to understand what a Season is. According to Konami, a Season is:

“Season” is a new concept that will be introduced to eFootball World. A Season will be defined by a theme that reflects the latest soccer trend. This theme will also be at the center of your experience of eFootball, since it will be emulated in various aspects of the game.

Seasons run for a limited amount of time, meaning that objectives, challenges, special events, and other themes are limited to the timeframe set forth by Konami. For example, we are now in Season 2, which officially started on June 16 of this year. I won’t go into great detail as to what Season 2 contains but here’s a brief overview:

  • European Leagues Highlights -Clubs, Team Playstyles and Prime Players-
  • Dream Team Power Packs
  • Dream Team Updates
    • Legendary Managers
    • Objectives
    • Save Multiple Game Plans
    • Suggested Progression Points Allocation
    • Launch of “eFootball™ 2022” Mobile

You can find additional details here on eFootball‘s official site. Now that we’ve covered the overarching concept that are Seasons, let’s jump into the different challenges available within Season 2.

eFootball Dream Team guide

Events

In eFootball 2022, events are Season-specific challenges where you can play matches and reap the rewards from these matches if you win. From the “Starter” event created especially for the new users to AI matches against teams from featured leagues, you can take part in a variety of events that correspond to the real-life soccer season. Test your mettle against the AI with Vs AI Matches, or go up against Dream Teams from around the globe with User Matches.

Challenge Events

Challenge Events are one of the largest official worldwide esports tournaments out. Usually broken down into rounds, there is no special application required. This means anyone can automatically join the tournament starting in Round 1 and then progress through subsequent rounds should you complete the required objective. More information regarding this event can be found here.

Starter Events (Subject To Change)

Starter Events are different ways to compete, both versus the AI and PvP. Like Seasons, they are subject to change over time but are usually a week long and typically start after Konami performs its weekly scheduled maintenance (generally Wednesday nights here in the US). Within each event there are different challenges with rewards tied to each challenge.
