The time has finally come… and trust me when I say, it was one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make.

Operation Sports has been sold to Enthusiast Gaming and I’ll be working for them. Before you cringe at the thought… let me assure you, that nothing is changing. We will continue to post our news and featured articles, and the Forums are not going anywhere. This is good news.

While selling the site was never a goal of mine, in order for it to continue to succeed, and get to the next level, this was something that had to be done. Simply put, we did not have the resources to add the features we wanted, so this decision will bring the site to its full potential.

Operation Sports, and this industry has huge potential for growth. Just look at what is happening in the eSports space as an example of this. Juggling my full-time job, with my OS responsibilities, has always been a struggle. Now though, with the additional help of the team at Enthusiast, I’m now able to work my regular job and can come home to work on the site that I’ve poured my heart and soul into, for over 20 years. This will make a huge difference and I’ll never lose that passion.

When Enthusiast approached us with this opportunity, and we learned more about their commitment to authentic gaming communities (look at Nintendo Enthusiast as an example, the CEO of Enthusiast started that site from his bedroom) we knew this was the right decision for OS.

Times have most certainly changed, but we still have a strong group of the most hardcore sports gamers on the Internet. I love all of you and can’t thank you enough for the time you put into this site.

To my admin Mill (easily the best Twitch streamer out there) and the mods of the Forum. Thank you. While we obviously can’t see everything that happens, in every thread, it’s great to have people in the community to keep things in check. This also includes everyone in our community, reporting posts that we might have missed.

A big hug for Raychel and Chase for all of their hard work in getting our featured articles online, and of course, thank you to all of our writers. We have added quite a few of them to the list, so keep your eyes peeled.

Of course, a big thanks to my partner Matt, for all the hard work behind the scenes and the long discussions we’ve had over the years.

I’ll be in touch with many of you, either in this thread, PM or on Twitter. I just wanted to state that we aren’t going anywhere, it’s business as usual, but we now have someone in our corner that can take us to another level.

As always, when we have things to announce, you will hear it from me first. Fun stuff coming, I’m excited.
