EA and Codemasters have revealed their second in-depth video and blog showcasing F1 23, the authorized video game of the FIA Formula One World Championship. Sky Sports F1 presenter Natalie Pinkham once again provides a detailed examination of the enhancements made for Braking Point 2, F1 World, improved multiplayer and My Team.
After its introduction in F1 2021, Braking Point, the immersive story mode driven by fictional narratives, makes a comeback this year. The story follows the journeys of aspiring young racer Aiden Jackson and protagonist Devon Butler, now teammates for the Konnersport Racing Team. This up-and-coming team aims to challenge the established F1 teams and drivers. Alongside intense rivalries, captivating drama and thrilling racing trials, the story introduces an array of new characters. Among them is Callie Mayer, the newly crowned Formula 2 champion and Devon Butler’s sister, who aspires to make it to the prestigious stage of Formula 1.
The team also dives into F1 World, an exciting and innovative way to engage with the game that serves as a central hub for various game modes. It encompasses both single-player and multiplayer experiences, a shared progression system, regular content updates on a daily, weekly and seasonal basis. It also features a revamped License Level system and a diverse range of gameplay options. F1 World aims to introduce newcomers to the intricate world of Formula 1 and assist them in familiarizing themselves with the game mechanics before embarking on their quest for the World Championship. For returning players, this feature offers an opportunity to rediscover their favorite elements of the game, such as Time Trial, Grand Prix and Multiplayer. As players advance through F1 World, participating in dynamic events and challenges that evolve with the season, they raise their Tech Level and earn upgrades that can be applied to their F1 World car.
