F1 24‘s arrival comes just in time for the upcoming Formula One World Championship season, which is set to begin on March 16 with the Australian Grand Prix. The upcoming F1 season certainly has all the makings of one of the most intriguing in recent memory, with this season marking Lewis Hamilton’s debut for Ferrari after an 11-year stint with Mercedes, with whom he won a record-tying 7 World Drivers’ Championships.

The inclusion of F1 24 on GamePass should be good news to any racing enthusiast who isn’t looking to pay full price for a quality racing game, much less for one that’s licensed on a season that is one month away from being completely obsolete.

Released back in May of 2024, F1 24 was warmly received by critics and gamers alike, though the game was criticized for changes to its handling system and marketing towards a more casual crowd. For years, the F1 video game series sat comfortably between being a true racing sim and a casual racing game, and routinely attracted both crowds. But ever since EA purchased the IP in February 2021, some feel like it’s moving closer and closer to the latter.

If the reviews on the game’s Steam page are anything to go by, most gamers have enjoyed F1 24, or at least enjoy it more than F1 23. So if you’re a racing fan and have GamePass, then maybe it’s worth checking out.
