EA Sports released FC 25 patch #7 today on all platforms bringing significant gameplay improvements alongside fixes for Ultimate Team, Clubs, Career Mode and more.
Gameplay updates include reducing the accuracy of first-time lofted through passes, especially during kickoffs or from awkward defensive angles, for a more realistic feel. A fix addresses players moving too close to the dribbler when cutting off passing lanes, which led to autotackles and midfielders being pulled out of position, crowding the ball carrier. Goalkeepers now attempt more desperation saves instead of “giving up” on unreachable chip shots. Check out the full patch notes here.
The developers also shared that their next update will continue to focus on community feedback, including, but not limited to the following:
- Ground pass speed
- Players without the ball catching up to the dribbler regardless of pace difference
- Keeper positioning
- Finesse shot playstyle balancing
- AI defender interceptions
- Tacklebacks
- Assisted Shooting (Lace & Finesse shots)
