EA Sports has revealed Kylian Mbappé and Sam Kerr as the FIFA 23 cover athletes for the Ultimate Edition. PSG’s Kylian Mbappé has now been on the FIFA cover for 3 years in a row. Chelsea’s Sam Kerr will be the first female to be featured on the global cover. As some of you might remember, Alex Morgan and Christine Sinclair were featured on the FIFA 16 cover in North America with Lionel Messi.
In addition, Mbappé will be on the Standard Edition, while Kerr will be on the Standard Edition in Australia and New Zealand, as well as an Amazon exclusive.
With that being said, it would appear likely the Women’s Super League will be in the game this year. We will no doubt hear and see more as the hype train continues with the official FIFA 23 reveal trailer scheduled to arrive on July 20 featuring HyperMotion 2 technology.
FIFA 23 is set to release later this fall with more game modes, features, teams, leagues, players and competitions than any previous edition. For those that might have missed it, EA Sports is officially changing the name of the FIFA series to EA Sports FC in 2023.
