UPDATE: (9-1) Today’s the day.

The game gives players cross-platform multiplayer gameplay between all platforms and across a variety of modes – including Career Mode and more – for a faster route to connect with friends, while the ‘Driven to Glory’ Story Mode provides players with a single-player experience. In addition to the game’s in-race choreographer and unique AI driver personalities that create unpredictable racing at every turn, GRID Legends also features 130 routes – including real-life tracks and iconic city circuits – and over 100 vehicles, from classic touring cars to big rigs, single-seaters, to electrics and hybrids.

EA Play is included with the Xbox Games Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass PC subscription, at no additional cost. Otherwise, it costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year for PlayStation and PC users with the following benefits.

  • Unlock exclusive challenges and rewards, member-only content, early trials of new releases, and access to a library of top titles.
  • Play select new-release games for up to 10 hours even before they launch.
  • Get more to play with unlimited access to a collection of Electronic Arts’ fan-favorite series and top titles.
  • Save 10% on all EA digital purchases, including game downloads, Season Passes, points packs, and DLC.

GRID Legends is a beautiful game with a great career mode. Make sure to read our review here.

There are over 30 different scenarios that play out over the course of the story, and each one requires a different approach and has a small story to accompany it. Everything flows together so well because the actual story aspect of the mode is delivered in quick videos and screenshots with description-style overlays that quickly explain what is happening before you get back to racing.

I have played through the mode twice. I enjoyed it as much the second time as the first, and a third attempt is not out of the question. Again, it all comes down to the quick hitting delivery of the story where you’re the star on and off the track. There are moments that it felt like it was a combination of games from the past, with a dash of Wreckfest and TOCA sprinkled in here.
