How to Change Body Type in NBA 2K25

Your first major task during a MyCareer playthrough in NBA 2K25 is to create your player. You can face scan yourself onto this player or custom design everything about their appearance. This includes their facial features, markings, and body type. Your body type reflects how tall and wide your player is, so it plays a major role in how you see them on the court, visually and in terms of their position. While you might be happy with the body type you initially chose in NBA 2K25, your feelings could change as you get deeper into MyCareer.

If you want your player to have a different look in MyCareer, there actually is something you can do about it. The game gives you the chance to change your player’s body type, but only after you’ve completed a few steps in MyCareer and go to the right place once those steps are finished.

How To Change Your Player’s Body Type In NBA 2K25

The only way to change the body type of your MyCareer player is to complete a series of challenges that reward you with points. These points are then used to unlock new body types you can change with your player.

Specifically, you need to participate in and complete the series of Gatorade Workout Drills in The City. These can be completed in between MyCareer games and offer Stars in exchange for finishing them with a good score. You want to score a maximum of three Stars in every drill to have the easiest route to unlocking a new body type.

To unlock new body types in MyCareer, you need to have 50 Stars. 50 Stars are required for a single body type, so you’ll need plenty more than 50 if you want to unlock multiple body types for your player. When you have 50 Stars from doing the Gatorade Workout Drills, you can head into the MyCareer menu to unlock a new body type and change your player to it.

This is done by going to the MyPlayer section of the MyCareer menu and choosing the “Appearance” option. From here, select your player’s Head and then go down the list of options until you can edit their Chest. In the Chest menu, you’ll be able to scroll through the list of available “Body Shapes.”

You can see all the ones you have unlocked and any that can be unlocked with Stars. When you find the one you want to use, either select it if it’s already unlocked or purchase it using your Stars. Now, equip the body type, and your player will change based on whatever type you select.

There are several body types to unlock and pick from, but by far the community’s favorite is the “Swole” body type. This makes your player appear much stronger, and it looks great in any position on the floor in 2K25.
