How to Edit Your MyCourt in NBA 2K25

Back in NBA 2K16, we were introduced to a new feature that allowed us to express our style while also working on our game. That feature was called MyCourt and was a staple of sorts all the way up until NBA 2K21 when the series first made the turn to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

From 2K21 to 2K24, players only could practice in the Gatorade Facility courts, and although you were still able to practice and invite friends to play basketball games, the personality and coziness of MyCourt was definitely missed.

Well, NBA 2K25 finally sees the return of this popular feature being on the PS5 and Xbox Series X for the first time. The court looks and feels bigger now and there’s a permanent ball machine that’s always available so you don’t have to activate it from a menu. The machine operates at a rapid fire mode so you can get up several shots in a row very quickly.

But with the return of this feature, how do you go about customizing it? The old-gen version of NBA 2K never got rid of MyCourts and the way you customize there is the same as usual. But on the current consoles, things are different.

For one, as a heads up: the customization is currently very limited. Right now, the only thing you can change is the wall mural. The floor, rim, net, and so on cannot be customized but perhaps we’ll see this available before 2K26.

In the meantime, if you want to change your wall mural, you just need to hit the pause button from anywhere in The City (except in games of course), go over to MyPlayer and then go to where it says MyCourt Editor.

From there, you’ll be able to change your MyCourt wall mural. You’ll already have access to all 30 NBA teams so you can go and represent your favorite squad as you hoop it up. Then you’ll be able to unlock new murals through Season and Rep rewards. Events will sometimes reward them as well.

Another thing of note is that if you want to be able to actually see your wall mural while you shoot hoops, then you can tap left on the D-pad to pull up camera options. You can then switch to more of a broadcast style so that way you can see your art while playing. Just bare in mind that changing cameras only works while you’re holding the very first ball you get from the ball machine.

Seeing MyCourts return is great. It’s too bad we can’t change the floor, rim, net, or backboard but at least it’s back. Plus, the wall murals are big and beautiful so it’s nice having that in the meantime as far as customization goes. Now go in there and perfect that jump shot.
