How to Get the GOAT Outfit in NBA 2K25

In NBA 2K24, you had the chance to become the GOAT in MyCareer by breaking records, winning championships, and so on by climbing a GOAT list. The more accomplishments you got, the more points you’d get to climb up the ranking. This is a list that featured several NBA all-time greats with you having to pass Michael Jordan in GOAT points to become the greatest hooper ever.

Upon becoming a GOAT-tier player, you were rewarded with a cool and hilarious goat head for you MyPlayer as well as some magic shoes that made you run faster around The City. All in all, quite a grind for the gear.

Now, in NBA 2K25, the GOAT list is back but there’s also a new Dynasty list where, by staying with one team and winning championships, you can build up your dynasty status. Once again, you’re tasked with taking down MJ off of the top spot as his ’90s Bulls are the top-ranked dynasty.

This time, things are a different as far as rewards go. You’ll get one piece of gear each time you tier up on the GOAT list. And when you build the greatest dynasty in NBA history, you’ll be rewarded with the coveted Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame jacket to rock in The City.

But back to the GOAT list, how exactly do you unlock all of the GOAT gear? We mentioned that you get something every time you tier up. To get the golden shorts and jersey, you need to reach tier 3 and 4 on the list. And if you want to golden goat head, you’ll need to reach tier 1.

Thankfully, climbing up the GOAT tier list this year is much easier than in 2K24. Your ascent begins after basically winning your first championship. If you throw MVP, Rookie of the Year, and Finals MVP in there, then you’ll have an excellent start.

You’ll be climbing up the list in no time. Three championship seasons should get you to the top tier. Plus, to get the goat head, you don’t have to pass Jordan — just reach tier 1 that includes Jordan, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant. Another nice thing is that you only need to play 12 Key games each year so you’ll breeze through the season in NBA 2K25.

In 2K24, Key games would pop up frequently and they were forced on you. This would make seasons drag out. So instead of just 12 games, you’d be playing 20 or more. To put things into perspective with how nice this change is for 2K25, it will take you six or seven years to play 82 games, which is the amount of games for just one NBA season.

You’ll have to grind a little extra for the Hall of Fame jacket as you need at least the six championship’s to surpass Jordan’s Bulls on the Dynasty list. But if you’re just looking for the gold jersey and shorts, two championships and MVPs should easily give you them. And then of course, as we mentioned, three championships and MVPs to reach tier 1.

The GOAT gear and the Hall of Fame jacket are some fun incentives to get you to grind a bit in MyCareer. Plus, on top of that, you’ll earn Season XP for NBA games this year so that gives you even more rewards while enjoying the single-player experience.
