How to Play WWE 2K25 Early With the New Zealand Trick

New-Zea-Land. YEAH!

With early access for WWE 2K25 coming tomorrow, many players who preordered either of the special editions of the game will naturally be excited to finally get their hands on it and begin playing. Most will be happy waiting the extra few hours and begin playing at midnight upon its official release. But what about those who are eager to play right now, hours before its intended release?

Luckily for Xbox players, Microsoft’s console doesn’t have any kind of sophisticated region tracker, making changing your location super easy to do. By adjusting a few settings on your Xbox console, you can get early access to games that are scheduled for release the following day, assuming they aren’t being globally released at a set time.

It’s the old New Zealand trick. And here’s how to use it in order to get access to WWE 2K25 earlier than you normally would.

As a quick note, this guide will only cover changing your location on Xbox. PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo platforms don’t make it nearly as easy to change your console’s location. I can’t speak for PC or Nintendo, but PlayStation flat out forces you to make a new PSN account based in New Zealand. So, sorry in advance.

Using The New Zealand Trick To Play WWE 2K25 Early

So before we get on to the New Zealand trick itself, we must first clarify a few things. The standard edition of WWE 2K25 is scheduled for release on March 14. However, those of you who have preordered either the Deadman or Bloodline editions of the game will be given early access beginning on March 7. So if you’re looking to play WWE 2K25 using this trick right now, you must have already preordered either of the aforementioned special editions. If you’ve preordered the standard edition, come back to this article on March 13.

For those of you who have preordered either the Deadman or Bloodline editions of WWE 2K25 and wish to get a head start, follow the steps below depending on your platform.

Changing Location On Xbox

If you’re playing on an Xbox Series platform, here is how to change your location to New Zealand:

  • Press the Xbox button on your controller
  • Find Settings
  • Scroll down to System
  • Select Language & Location
  • Change location to New Zealand
  • Click Restart Now

Once your console has restarted, your location will be changed to New Zealand and you’ll have access to WWE 2K25.

Enjoy yourselves! And don’t spend all that VC you get on The Island all at once.
