If We Get Custom Schedules, Who You Got in EA Sports College Football 25

We won’t get an in-depth breakdown of dynasty mode until later this summer, but one thing everyone is hoping to see is a custom schedule feature for EA Sports College Football 25.

It’s something we’ve had in the past, and since we know conference realignment will be allowed, we’re all hopeful some amount of custom scheduling will be present as well. OS user Ghost of the Year started the thread and asked everyone who they’d like to add to their schedule.

There’s some quality answers in the thread already, but I want to point out why custom schedules are important. For online dynasties, custom schedules are big to make sure you can get your friends in matchups. Many of us choose to play in the same conference, but if you want to be out of conference, having a custom schedule is the best way to make sure you still play each other. Even if you play in the same conference, it’s good for the drama to time the matchups for certain points in the season.

As for the fun answers, OS user georgiafan has one of the best ones:

Whoever breaks my heart in recruiting whatever school they go to is mine…Plus I’m running up the score.

We support all pettiness here at OS.

Another common thing people used to do was replace the fake FCS games with in-state teams or other weak opponents (it’s just more enjoyable to play “real” teams). In addition, one thing that’s maybe becoming more important for custom scheduling is trying to maintain old rivalries even after the mass amount of conference realignment. OS user GoDucks1224 sums this up.

I try to replace FCS games with in state opponents where possible. If not possible, I try to throw in rivalry opponents or old conference opponents.

One answer I really like in the thread comes from OS user illwill10.

My out of conference games are mainly going to be teams with great scenery/stadiums, seeing certain traditions, or uniforms. So, I want to play Boise State, Coastal Carolina, Washington, App State just to see field or scenery. I want to play certain teams just to see their run outs or just experience the traditions.

This will probably be me to some extent. You’re not going to see every team online (and who knows how much presentation will even still be turned on for online games) so seeing 100+ teams is sort of hard to do unless you set certain goals to do it. Having a custom schedule would be a built-in way to travel around the country and see everything EA has done with traditions and presentation.

Feel free to head by the thread and talk about your plans for custom scheduling, and here’s to hoping EA has a custom schedule in EA Sports College Football 25 at launch.
