Yup, it’s that time of the year where everybody’s got jokes all of a sudden.
April Fool’s Day is one of the most challenging days any video game fan can have. Throughout the day, you’ll see various “news reports” or developers posting “updates” on things that you’ve only had in your dreams. I’m talking about that “wow, that’s awesome” kind of stuff. Then, you look at the replies, check the date, and boom — happiness gone.
But now and then, you’ll stumble upon something that isn’t as high on the Get-Your-Hopes-Up scale. Something that is obviously a joke, but because it’s so well-executed, you can’t help but tip your cap.
iRacing pulled one such joke this morning.
iRacing Jokes About The Inclusion Of Little Tikes

Published this morning through the game’s X account, iRacing “announced” that the Little Tikes toy cars would soon be added to the game for players to enjoy. “A career in motorsports begins with our first set of wheels,” the tweet read. “That’s why we’re excited to announce that we’ve scanned the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe and will be adding it to the iRacing service in a future update!”
In a follow-up tweet, the official iRacing account rattled off all the high-performance tech that goes into creating everyone’s favorite plastic toy cars:
- A handle on the back for parent-controlled push rides
- A moving ignition switch for (pretend) startups
- Removable floorboard
- Rugged, durable tires
- A gas cap that opens and closes for imaginary refuels
Needless to say, I was tickled. The replies were great, too. Some people asked if the Tikes were ideal for endurance races. One even posted a humorous prediction of how it would handle the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca.
Well played, iRacing. But yeah, I’m gonna need you to add that Lamborghini tractor soon. The people demand it!
