Madden 25 Draft Classes Not Working? Here's Why That May Be Happening

A recent patch to Madden 25 was supposed to clear up issues with the Download Center that was stopping folks from downloading and importing draft classes and other community creations. However, it did not fix everyone’s problems.

It did fix some issues, and it’s now possible to do things like import draft classes from within franchise mode without causing major problems, but some people still can’t download things like draft classes. Or, the better description is that you can download files but then they don’t actually show up in your downloaded files area when trying to load them. To be clear, we do not have a catch-all solution to solve these problems for everyone. But there is one clear reason why you might not be able to download some files, and it’s because of how the files are named.

If you go to download community creations, files that have spaces in the file name will generally never show up in your saved files even after you download them (this is different from the download itself “hanging” and not completing). So, if you look at the image below this text, you’ll see a file name called “Draft 2025” that has an orange highlight around it. While I can download this file, it will not actually show up in my downloads.

Simply put, it’s because the file is named “Draft 2025” and not “Draft2025” — and that’s it. There was/is a similar problem with College Football 25 when it comes to downloading things like playbooks, and since both football games share a lot of the same infrastructure, what’s an issue in one game ends up as an issue in both. Placing a space in your file name is one of those shared issues.

Beyond that, if you’re still having problems then we get into much murkier territory. If you’re trying to upload a draft class but it just hangs, or you download files with no spaces in the file names and yet they still don’t show up in your saved files, then there is no perfect solution. We would simply tell you that there are problems with the Download Center still and while you can reach out to EA for help, it may not lead to a solution there either. EA still likely needs to release another patch to solve any other existing issues with the Download Center, but the problem is it doesn’t seem like everyone is having the same one or two problems when they run into them, which to us means this probably isn’t some easy fix.

If you’re just not sure where or how to import a draft class within franchise mode, we can at least tell you how to do that with 100 percent certainty. You will go to the Scout College Players screen — if you didn’t import the draft class when you created the franchise itself — and click L3 (Edit Players) to then have the option to import or download a draft class.

For those NFL fans out there already looking ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft and thus want to download “real classes” with some potential saviors in them, we do hope you can at least download some files now if the “no spaces” solution works for you. For everyone else, we don’t have a perfect solution for you because EA doesn’t have a perfect solution for you.
