A new Madden NFL 23 gameplay trailer has arrived today with senior game design director Connor Dougan providing full details on the new FieldSENSE gameplay system.
Featuring more than 3,500 new animations, you can perform mid-air knockouts in Madden NFL 23 thanks to new animation branching technology, hit the pile to assist tackles already underway, blow up blocks, and force turnovers with stand up tackles.
The new skill-based passing system uses a new accuracy reticle and passing meter allowing players to lead your receivers open, throw back shoulder-to-back throws into tight windows, and place every pass with surgical accuracy where your receiver can only catch it.
The 360° Cuts feature allows you to cut freely to hit gaps as you see them, plant-and-go, and elude defenders to break more big plays, whether you’re a running back, wide receiver, or even returning a kick.
Battles between wide receivers and defensive backs are improved with a suite of new wide receiver release maneuvers and defensive back counterpress techniques producing fancy footwork and important 1v1 matches off the line.
More details can be read in the latest Madden NFL 23 FieldSENSE deep dive blog.
