The Maximum Football team has revealed their 2025 roadmap, highlighting the most requested features and improvements based on community feedback from the past several months.
One of the most anticipated updates coming in 2025 is the introduction of Coach Mode, which allows players to focus on scheming and play calling while the CPU executes the plays. Multiplayer improvements are on the horizon for early 2025, including Friend Invite functionality, Couch Co-Op and cross play. The latter will merge matchmaking pools, enabling Xbox and Steam players to compete seamlessly. Another significant addition is Franchise Mode, where players take on the role of a general manager overseeing a professional football team. While details were not disclosed in the video, the team has stated that more information will be shared as the release date nears.
Beyond these features, the game will see other enhancements and improvements. A dynamic weather system is being added, allowing games to unfold in various conditions. Play-calling options will expand with screens, draws and hot routes, offering more strategy. A system for sharing created teams and rosters is also in development, promoting creativity and collaboration within the community. Improvements to UI, particularly for roster management and depth charts, are planned as well.
As these updates are implemented, the team will continue to focus on quality-of-life improvements, online matchmaking stability and an overhaul of the animation system to enhance realism on the field. All these efforts aim to prepare for Maximum Football’s full launch on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation in 2025.
