Maximum Entertainment has launched Maximum Football – Season 2: Vice Blitz today on Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview. The action has now shifted to Seaside Park, a new stadium on the sunny Southeast coast, surrounded by palm trees and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.

Season 2 brings adjustments to progression as rewards will arrive faster with more flexibility in completing challenges across different game modes. After the devs heard from community in Season 1 that some challenges were too specific or tough, the difficulty of weekly and seasonal challenges has been fine-tuned to make them more approachable, allowing players to unlock rewards at a steady pace. Challenges now count toward progress whether players are playing online or offline in MPL, Dynasty or Exhibition modes.

Season 2 introduces defensive hot routes, giving players more control over the defense. Now, you can adjust individual defender assignments pre-snap, allowing you to counter the offense in real time. Whether you want to switch a linebacker to a hook zone, assign a cornerback to man coverage or send an extra rusher off the edge, these adjustments let you make strategic decisions on the fly.

The update also brings more customization to Dynasty mode with alternate jerseys. Players can now create alternate uniforms at any point in their Dynasty and choose their team’s look before each game. Coach Mode is now available in online exhibition games, giving players the chance to test their play-calling skills or enjoy a more strategic experience while competing head-to-head with friends.

The latest update also includes several more gameplay improvements, along with fixes for Dynasty Mode, multiplayer, customization, updated animations and more. You can check out the full patch notes here.
