MLB The Show 20: 5th Inning Program Guide and Overview

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The 4th Inning Program has wrapped up and that leads us to the 5th Inning Program for MLB The Show 20. The boss player rewards remain at 300 stars, and we’re also continuing the new trend of having rewards that go well past 300 stars.

The 300 star boss players are Signature Series Mariano Rivera, Silver Slugger David Ortiz and Signature Series Larry Walker. Larry Walker is a new face for the game so he has that going for him, but he will have stiff competition as Rivera and Ortiz have impressive ratings as well.

Below you can find your 5th Inning Program guide and breakdown. This guide will change and update as more content is released.

Showdown

As usual, the entry fee is 500 stubs. The Final Showdown was Mariano Rivera in my test run, and I would suspect it’s always Mariano Rivera no matter what to coincide with him being a 5th Inning Boss.

Winning the Showdown will net you +70 program stars. Along the way, the same reward structure is in place as other Inning Program Showdowns, so you basically break even by getting past the first mini Showdown. You’ll get a silver player pack and a gold player pack as rewards along the way as well.

Conquest

This time around we have six strongholds to conquer, so this is a little bigger than the 4th Inning Program Conquest map. This is a bridge design and you get two starting spots this time around, which is unique.

You get +30 program stars for completing all the missions, and the only mission to make sure you don’t miss is stealing 2 million fans at some point. As always, look out for secret rewards as you conquer territories.
