MLB The Show 20 Diamond Dynasty: Prospects Set 3 Features Casey Mize

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Prospects Set 3 is now out, so Prospects Set 2 players will now be found in the community market rather than packs. This newest set features Casey Mize as a 90 overall. The 2018 first overall pick has a five-pitch mix and is the top prize in this set. You can see the entire set below:

As usual, it includes seven diamond prospects:

  • Casey Mize (90 overall)
  • Jarred Kelenic (89)
  • Andrew Vaughn (88)
  • Brendan McKay (87)
  • Brendan Rogers (86)
  • Sixto Sanchez (86)
  • Sean Murphy (86)

The Sixto Sanchez looks especially intriguing with a hard sinker and fastball that should reach 100 mph. His changeup will have to be very good in order for him to go deep into games online, but he’s the one player who immediately stuck out to me in this set.

With Prospects Set 3 now released, it also means you can lock in these players to get the Prospects collection reward, 91 overall Wander Franco.

While it’s a solid card anyone would love to have, Franco doesn’t seem to be worth the 250-300K Stubs it would probably take to lock in all these prospects to get him. But if you do want to lock in 21 players (who, remember, you can’t quick sell anymore) then go for it. He’s one of the more exciting prospects in baseball in quite some time, so I wouldn’t blame Rays fans for doing it.

The Prospects Set 3 packs work like the others, so it’s a choice pack where you’re really just ripping the pack to see what tier of card you get to select:
