This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

We’ve been playing MLB The Show 20 for close to a week now, but for those picking up the game today (or hopefully getting it delivered or downloaded digitally instead to be socially conscious!), we’re going to give you some heads up about the new content you’ll see when you head into Diamond Dynasty. We highlighted the First Inning Program and first Event, and now here’s a look at what Ranked Seasons 1 will be offering up to those who push through the tiers.

Ranked Seasons 1 – MLB The Show 20

ranked seasons 1 world series

Not much has changed for Ranked Seasons, so there’s not much deep info that’s needed here. You’ll go up and down in rating points after each win or loss, and you’re still trying to reach World Series rank to get the best rewards. It does not matter where you end the season, so if you get to World Series you immediately get those rewards, you don’t need to stay there the whole Ranked Season.

Quick Tips And Notes

-It’s a hitting frenzy out there right now so just try to win some offense-heavy games at the early levels. You’ll still have a low-scoring game here and there, but the balance is certainly pushed towards the offense right now on lower difficulty levels. This may change once you get to HOF.

-The rating system works like most normal ones out there where you will get more points early on as you have fewer games under your belt. So your points will go up and down at a wilder rate until you have a larger sample size of games.

-In order to get stamina back for your pitchers between games, they must stay in your lineup — you can’t hide them off your active roster.

-Adley Rutschman and Johnny Damon would be my picks, but don’t let that sway you one way or the other. All the player rewards can also be found in the community market if you would rather just buy them.

-There is no decay or anything like that to your rating, so if you want to take a break then feel free to do so. If you need to collect yourself and all that before coming back to Ranked Seasons, you will not be punished for doing that, which is nice.

-There is no real way to “cheat” the system so you can’t use low overall teams and run into other low overall teams or anything like that. People mostly bring their best lineups to this mode for that reason.
