MLB The Show 24 Diamond Dynasty Details Revealed

Sony San Diego Studio posted a new developer blog today providing MLB The Show 24 Diamond Dynasty details. Making its debut this year will be the new Seasonal Diamond Dynasty, featuring new cards released exclusively within each 12 week season.

  • Team Affinity expands to three chapters each season, and more ways to earn progress across multiplayer and single player modes 
  • Free Cornerstone Cards and Starter Packs for players at the start of each new season 
  • Fewer high-tier 99 OVRs at the start of each season, a major change from ‘23 Diamond Dynasty 
  • Free weekly packs in The Show Shop throughout the year 
  • More Wild Card slots unlocked via reward paths 
  • More ways to earn and sell high-tier cards 
  • Seasons are now 12 weeks long, (read below for more details on changes), each with contained progression and more frequent Team Affinity content drops

A double feature is scheduled for March 7 with the ratings reveal show starting at 2:00 PM ET and the Diamond Dynasty Feature Premiere at 6:00 PM ET.

The MLB The Show 24 Standard Edition will release on March 19 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. It will also be included with Game Pass on Day One. The MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues Edition costs $124.99 with early access starting on March 15. The MVP and Digital Deluxe Editions will also get 4 days of early access. Also of note, the MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues Edition won’t include the disc on PlayStation 5, but will on Xbox Series X|S.
