MLB The Show 24: How to Play Ranked Co-Op

One of MLB The Show 24‘s most unique modes is ranked co-op. Essentially, the ranked mode that has always existed in Diamond Dynasty gets a separate playlist for co-op.

This includes the Ranked Program with missions to help you progress in the program, ultimately earning each program’s rewards including the coveted World Series Choice Pack. That Choice Pack used to be earned exclusively by reaching World Series in ranked. With co-op ranked in Diamond Dynasty, you can play with friends or randoms through matchmaking to help you progress in that program.

How To Play Ranked Co-Op

Getting into ranked co-op games is pretty easy.

For starters, make sure you navigate to Diamond Dynasty from the main menu. From there, select Ranked and you’ll see the three options available to play.

You’ll see 1vs 1, which is the traditional Solo Ranked. You’ll then see 2 vs. 2 and 3 vs. 3. The difference between those playlists is self-explanatory. You’ll either team with another player for 2 vs 2 or two fellow players for 3 vs 3.

Once you’ve selected your preferred brand of co-op, you’ll hit the next screen.

From here, you can choose to invite a friend to your squad or randomly matchmake by selecting “find teammates” in the menu.

Once that’s done, you’ll move into squad creation. No matter how many teammates you have, you’ll each select cards from your personal inventories to add to your squad. This means you don’t necessarily have to have a full binder in order to be part of a competitive team. It also adds some extra flavor as you’ll most likely not be using the same exact squad you might use in Solo Ranked. You’ll also see some random Gold cards added to fill out your team.

Once your co-op squad is created, you’ll move into matchmaking to be paired against another co-op team.

After that, you’ll simply set and confirm your lineup before you starting pitcher is randomly selected.

There you have it! That’s how to play Ranked Co-Op in MLB The Show 24.
