MLB The Show 25 Content Schedule: April 2025's New Programs (UPDATED)

Let's just chill on the April showers, please.

Programs are a “no money spent” player’s best friend in MLB The Show 25. Though they often require a bit of a grind to complete, programs offer players tons of rewards that are completely free and can bolster your squad. With April being the first full month of MLB action this year, it’s likely San Diego Studio will add plenty of new programs to commemorate the occasion.

Right now, it’s too early to predict every program coming in April. But SDS has announced a select few programs that will be dropping during the month’s first week. Going off past experience, we can also make guesses as to when annual programs will be dropping.

Here’s the content schedule for MLB The Show 25 in April. It will be updated as more information becomes available.

MLB The Show 25: New Programs In April

Common Courtesy – April 1st

In line with April Fool’s Day, SDS dropped the Common Courtesy program on April 1. Involving the use of common-rated players, the program is basically built on performing as poorly as possible. Collecting the four cards offered — common versions of Richie Ashburn, Vida Blue, Joe Morgan, and Stan Musial — the program also offers players the ability to earn a mystery Deluxe pack should they collect the cards within 24 hours of the program’s release.

April Spotlight Program – April 4

The Spotlight Program will likely be built around the Monthly Awards series. The program is pre-loaded into the game and can currently be viewed, though all of the rewards are currently branded with a question mark. What we do know is that there will be several drops with the April Spotlight, and that the first drop can be completed by earning 10 Stars.

If I were to take a guess, players who had a great opening series will receive a special card in Drop 1 — Aaron Judge, Jazz Chisholm Jr., and Mookie Betts immediately come to mind. New drops will likely be a weekly affair.

Last Ride Program – April 4

So, we already know what Last Ride is in MLB The Show 25. Essentially, it is a series of cards based on players in the final year of their MLB career. Players such as Nolan Ryan, Bob Gibson, and Barry Larkin, among others, already have such cards.

Again, we don’t have any details on what cards will be made available as part of the program itself, but I suspect it’ll mostly focus on legends. I wouldn’t be surprised if players such as Derek Jeter, Todd Helton, and maybe Ken Griffey Jr. were included as part of the program, giving players access to cards with meta swings and quirks, but lower attributes.

Easter Program – Late April

As is tradition in MLB The Show, an Easter-themed program is certainly on the agenda for late April. These usually feature Easter egg hunts that provide cryptic clues for how to find each egg. After collecting a number of these eggs, they can be used to complete a collection. Easter-themed packs usually contain Jelly Beans too, which can be redeemed to get another egg.

San Diego Studio may approach the Easter program a bit differently this year, but for now, all we have is past experience to go on.
