In this article, we’ll walk you through some strategies to conquer these challenges. By following these, you can clear all Diamond Quests in one swift go.

What Is Diamond Quest Mode?

Before getting into the intricacies, let’s break down the Diamond Quest mode. Diamond Quest is an offline, single-player game mode within Diamond Dynasty in MLB The Show 25 featuring tabletop gameplay. The mode was recently reworked in this year’s edition and now features smoother mechanics as well as better rewards. To get these rewards, it’s essential to play around with different strategies, so you can beat each quest.

Since it’s offline, the game mode doesn’t affect your online stats. However, all the packs and cards you receive from it will transfer over to multiplayer, helping you build your team. At the start of the game, you will be placed at one edge of the board and must roll the dice to get to the stadium challenge.

As you traverse through the board, you’ll face various challenges, gain buffs/debuffs based on your progression, and face the menacing sweeper. Once you clear these challenges and reach the stadium, you can complete the final challenge and earn exclusive rewards. The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards. How To Beat Diamond Quest Mode

Now, with all the fundamentals in mind, let’s talk strategy. Your main aim in Diamond Quest is to reach and beat the Stadium challenge. Playing on higher difficulties gives you a better chance at earning the Epic reward and guarantees the Rare reward. If you already play at Legend or G.O.A.T. difficulty, it should be a breeze. However, if you’re just starting, here are some techniques to beat Diamond Quest.

Clearing The Board

If you’re struggling to beat the Stadium Challenge on a higher difficulty, gaining spaces on the board gives you higher odds, even when playing on lower difficulties. You can also earn perks to further aid your campaign. These random perks can be earned by beating hidden opponent challenges and mini-boss showdowns. To activate these challenges, you’ll need to explore the board instead of going directly for the stadium challenge.

Once you beat each challenge, you’ll receive a positive perk, which will stay for the entirety of the quest. However, if you lose, you’ll be penalized with a negative perk. Fortunately, the negative perk only stays for one round and then disappears. While the strategy of exploring the entire map takes longer than directly going to the stadium challenge, it’s much safer for beginners. By exploring the map, you’ll gain two advantages:

  • You’ll get extra perks from all the hidden challenges and mini games.
  • By completing each challenge, the chances of getting a higher reward will increase.

So, if you’re looking to complete the quest on a moderate difficulty, but still receive a good reward, exploring the entire map is the best bet. That said, here’s how to do it.

  • When the game board is generated, locate the stadium challenge you want to go for.
  • On each dice roll, move around the board to unlock all mystery squares. Additionally, steer clear of the Zone Sweeper as much as possible.
  • Try to complete all hidden opponent challenges and mini-boss showdowns for extra perks. This will also increase your chances of getting Rare and Epic packs.
  • Use the Peanuts you’ve collected to buy more perks at the Coach’s cart. This will randomly pop up as you’re discovering the board.
  • Get as many perks as you can and head towards the stadium challenge. Keep in mind to pick a difficulty you’re confident in beating.
  • With all the perks now activated, completing the final challenge should be a breeze.
  • Finally, beat the challenge and take home all the reward packs.

While this all sounds easy on paper, it can be a bit more tricky. So, let’s break down each step.

Dodging The Zone Sweeper

The biggest problem players run into during a quest is the Zone Sweeper. On contact, it will challenge you to a 3-inning game on Legend difficulty. This challenge is unavoidable once the Zone Sweeper makes contact, so do your best to steer clear of the evil baseball. To do that, learn the pattern of the sweeper. It moves in a predictable rectangular pattern, so plan your route accordingly, and you’ll be golden.

If it does end up catching up to you, don’t worry. Even if you lose, you only receive a one-game debuff and lose 50% of your Peanuts. On the flip side, if you win, you’ll receive an additional perk and a card pack.

Completing Hidden Challenges And Mini-Boss Showdowns

As mentioned, we highly recommend completing all the challenges and showdowns you come across along the way. While both give you the option to forfeit, there are two major reasons to always participate in them.

  • Extra Perks: They give you extra perks if you win. These perks will aid you in your final stadium challenge and provide you with the extra edge.
  • Increased Exclusive Reward Chances: For each challenge you complete, you’ll receive a 3% increased chance for exclusive rewards. These percentages will be calculated at the end of the quest when facing the stadium challenge. If you complete all the hidden challenges and mini-games, your chances of getting an epic reward will increase.

Finding the Coach’s Cart

The Coach’s Cart is a pop-up shop hidden in one of the mystery squares, which can be used to purchase extra perks. It offers you a variety of perks you can buy with Peanuts. While using it is not necessary, we recommend buying these extra perks.

Sometimes, if you’re in danger of coming into contact with the Zone Sweeper, you can spend your Peanuts at the Coach’s Cart. This way, even if you lose, you won’t lose out on much.

Moving To The Stadium

Identifying which Stadium Challenge you want to go for is key. If your preferred stadium is at the bottom part of the map, start by moving upwards. This way, you’ll be able to discover the maximum number of mystery squares before facing the stadium challenge.

Once everything is done, all that’s left is to face the Stadium Challenge. Here, you’ll have to choose a difficulty. As the difficulty increases, so do your chances of getting better rewards. At the G.O.A.T. difficulty, you have a 100% chance of a Rare pack drop and a 70% chance of an Epic pack drop. However, even if you’re at a lower difficulty, completing more challenges during the quest will improve your odds. To check the reward breakdown in each quest, simply press Square/X.

Finally, keep in mind that it is pivotal to choose a difficulty you can beat. If you lose the stadium challenge, you will not get any rewards accumulated throughout the board, and all your progress will be wiped. So, only select the higher difficulties if you’re certain you can win.

That said, if you’re confident you can beat the All-Star difficulty or higher, you can always head straight for your preferred stadium. This means you will have minimal perks, but it’s much quicker. On the flip side, for players who don’t have much confidence, exploring the map and getting the extra perks is the best bet.

It should be noted that even on GOAT difficulty, a good pitcher should be able to make quick work of opposing CPU batters. So even if you’re not good enough to consistently hit on GOAT, you can easily breeze through the lineup, but over the leading run to third, bring them in with a sac fly or bunt, then close it out.
