Milestone has recently uploaded a new trailer showcasing the content featured in the Showdown Tour, the single-player career mode of the upcoming monster truck racing game, Monster Jam Showdown.
The Showdown Tour features over 130 events across three categories, allowing players to experience a range of competitions that challenge their speed and skill. With a non-linear progression system, players can enjoy different playstyles, unlocking new events within the same category as they secure victories. Each challenge offers various game modes and explores all three of the game’s original environments, providing fresh and fitting challenges throughout the journey.
The Showdown Tour’s locations, including Alaska, Colorado and Death Valley are wild and unconventional, ideal for pushing Monster Jam trucks to their limits. Players can race in these untamed landscapes from the start with new events appearing as they advance. Victories within event categories earn tokens for Showdown Events, which are special boss battles leading to career progression. These events require more than just speed, challenging players to impress the crowd with spectacular stunts and destruction, ultimately unlocking new vehicles and even tougher challenges.
Monster Jam Showdown will officially release on August 29 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam with Steam Early Access releasing on August 26.
