DID IT FOR THE BAY…AGAIN: Warriors Gaming Squad defeated Pacers Gaming 59-49 to win THE TICKET powered by AT&T, which took place at The Fortress at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Combined with winning THE TURN in May, Golden State has become the first team in history to win two of the three banners that make up THE BANNER CHAIN presented by AT&T in a single season. Guard Alex “Bsmoove” Reese was named tournament MVP as WGS took home more than half of the $180,000 prize pool, THE TICKET trophy and earned an automatic berth in the 2019 Playoffs, which tip off Wednesday, July 24 at the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in Long Island City, New York. 

UPSET CITY: In front of an electric crowd, Juan “Hotshot” Gonzalez and No. 19 seed Heat Check Gaming defeated No. 1 seed Blazer5 Gaming 53-50. Following that game, Malik “OriginalMalik” Hobson and No. 18 seed Knicks Gaming pulled off an upset of their own by posting a 65-63 victory over No. 2 seed Mavs Gaming. Not to be outdone, No. 16 seed Pacers Gaming and No. 13 seed Raptors Uprising GC also pulled off upsets as they defeated No. 3 seed NetsGC and No. 4 seed Celtics Crossover Gaming, respectively. THE SUNSHINE SHOWDOWN: On Saturday, June 15, Magic Gaming hosted Heat Check Gaming in a collision of the NBA 2K League’s two Florida teams. Rookie point guard Brendan “Reizey” Hill tallied 21 points and seven assists for Orlando as they defeated Miami 55-49 to advance in THE TICKET. Juan “Hotshot” Gonzalez added 35 points and four rebounds for Miami in the losing effort. 

DAD’S DAY: The latest episode of NBA 2K League: Locked In powered by AT&T showcases the sacrifices and challenges of fathers involved in the NBA 2K League. 76ers GC point guard Ethan “Radiant” White, Magic Gaming’s Emmanuel “UCManny” Cruz, Hawks Talon GC head coach Wes Acuff and others are featured.
