Rivet City’s rooftop MyPark from the beloved 2K16 has made its return in NBA 2K25 — with a catch. That catch being that this park is only in MyTeam.
Nonetheless, it’s neat seeing this park make its comeback. I honestly didn’t think 2K would remaster something from a game as old as NBA 2K16, but it just shows how truly popular that game was and remains.
The remastered Rivet park looks gorgeous with the new graphics of this generation’s consoles, and you might be wondering how Triple Threat Rivet Park works. Well, it’s very simple in that you run around with your MyPlayer and find a court to play on, like the good old days.
However, since this is MyTeam, you’ll be playing with the NBA players of your choice from your card collection. Your MyPlayer will just be chilling on the sideline. And also, it’s 1-on-1 like in past versions of Triple Threat. So it gives you the familiarity of Triple Threat while providing something new if you’re somebody that never played MyPark in the past.
There’s also a REP system and a store like in the old MyParks and in The City. Play games, perform well, and get rewarded. You can also do your pack openings right from the Rivet City Park so you don’t need to go back to the main menu or anything.
And if you get an excellent card, it will be displayed prominently on the big screen that’s in the park while fireworks go off. It’s a fun little way to celebrate a powerful new addition to your MyTeam lineup. Another little thing of note is that whatever clothes you get from MyTeam for your MyPlayer can be worn in The City, so if you play both MyTeam and games in The City, then you get a neat little crossover action.
But those are the main things you need to know. Collect your cards and choose three of them before you go and play Triple Threat Park games. Play well and win games and you’ll be rewarded for your efforts, but this time with a REP system involved.
And of course, with Seasons returning, you can expect some MyTeam cards as rewards that you can add to your Triple Threat squad to take to the Park. Overall it should be a popular mode for both MyTeam and City players alike, bringing nostalgia to returning players and offering a major piece of 2K history for newer hoopers.
