Users who own either of the first two versions of the game will get an update that unlocks customizations, along with full access to all free play modes and mini-games. The 2025 edition will be priced at $19.99 for current players and $39.99 for new players. This edition will feature the new single-player defense mode, updated rosters, team t-shirts, cosmetics, and more. An upgraded multiplayer experience, offering offensive vs. defensive head-to-head matchups, will launch this winter. Additional content packs will be released throughout the season, starting at $4.99.

  • Dominate on defense. Fans can continue to lead their teams as a quarterback, but now you can play linebacker to rush the quarterback, record sacks, make tackles and nab interceptions in single-player mode.
  • Make it your game. Players can personalize and immerse themselves through new customizations such as custom gear, stadiums, and hairstyles.
  • Control your game with smarter AI. With improved play styles of teams and players, you will be more closely aligned with current-day formations.
  • Play faster. By removing the sideline experience and adding a new user interface and wristband controls, users can experience smoother gameplay and more intuitive controls.
  • Lead, not follow. You get real-time feedback from your teammates as they react and respond to your leadership on and off the field along with more intensity and audio based on different game scenarios.
  • Your game always stays up-to-date. NFL PRO ERA is now a live service ensuring that players experience the most current rosters, gameplay updates, and features as the season evolves in real-time.

Omari Hardwick, an award-winning actor, producer, music artist, and former University of Georgia star defensive back, will be the voice and face of NFL PRO ERA’s ‘First Time User Experience.’ He will guide users through immersive quarterback drills, helping them perfect their throws and establish their rhythm from the very beginning.

“Our team at StatusPRO wanted to provide our loyal players and NFL fans with an experience that feels new and revolutionary in the upgraded version of NFL PRO ERA. Adding defense and making improvements to the game brings something unique to the VR gaming world,” said Andrew Hawkins, co-founder and President of StatusPRO.  “It’s been a privilege working with two of the top players in the NFL on both sides of the ball in C.J. and Micah. Much like us, they are the future of the field, and we believe they are the perfect duo to represent this new experience.”
