We’ll detail that roadmap below. Also, a reminder that NHL 25 will only be coming out for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
NHL 25 Roadmap
- Late August: Gameplay deep dive
- We started getting info about gameplay today. I assume we’ll get a deeper look at gameplay via some sort of developer blog.
- Early September: Presentation deep dive
- There will be a Grudge Match system that tracks the history of matchups between teams across all major offline and online modes, and also incorporates special X-Factors that are earned based on prior match-ups. We don’t know the details about how all that will work as of now.
- Beyond that, there should be more info about the visual upgrades via Sapien Technology.
- Mid-September: Franchise mode deep dive
- Franchise mode is getting a new hub page that should help streamline navigation and give us access to more important info.
- Various community-requested features are also being added, but we don’t know what those are as of yet.
- Late September: HUT deep dive
- Wildcard mode is being added (not sure what that is yet)
- There will be a new World of Chel live event structure (I believe this relates to the competitive scene)
- There will be one singular path for XP progression that is shared across HUT
