Operation Sports Is Looking to Hire a Freelancer Specializing in Racing Games

Operation Sports is looking to expand our group of freelance writers to include at least one person who wants to write about racing games.

We are looking for someone who cares deeply about racing games and understands what we’re all about here at Operation Sports. It’s likely that you will mainly focus on reviews if you’re getting specific work from me or Steve, but otherwise you are free to come up with your own focus in this area. We try to be hands off when it comes to giving ideas for articles because we want you to write about your passions in these areas when possible.

Here’s some other things we’re looking for in a candidate:

-An understanding of what Operation Sports is all about and thus what folks would want to read about.

-Some experience writing would be cool, and if you know your way around WordPress that can’t hurt, but we’re happy to teach you the basics either way.

-We’re happy if you know about other sports games as well (and you can write about them if you want) but your first focus will be racing games.

-There’s no set minimum or maximum amount of articles you’ll need to write, but it would be helpful if you’re flexible enough that you can at least put together a review at times when we get game codes for soon-to-be-released titles.

Requirements:

-Must be a fluent English writer and speaker.

-Must be in-tune with the racing gaming community and its various pressure points.

This is a part-time position and pay is based on certain per-article benchmarks, so these responsibilities have to be able to fit into your normal life. We’ll of course share all the details with you if we are interested in bringing you on board.

Does This Sound Like Something That Interests You?

To apply, please send the following to [email protected]:

-Your name

-Your OS username (if applicable)

-Your Twitter handle (if applicable)

-A brief intro about yourself and your passion for racing games.

-A couple sample ideas for racing game articles.

-If you have any work you’ve published in the past that’s cool, but we won’t DQ you if you don’t have those handy.

-No attachments please (we hate viruses as much as you do).

He loves just about any good sports game but gravitates to ones that coincide with the ongoing real seasons of the NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL, and so on. As of now, he's gearing up for EA Sports College Football 25 and what should be a wild summer while still dabbling in the latest Top Spin and MLB The Show.
