The Red Scourge makes his debut on OS previewing what will be a cinematic dynasty mode playthrough using NCAA Football 14. He will be controlling Army, and the focus will obviously be on the triple option and using that to push Army up the college rankings.

Books Nelson from At Me Bro checks in with a fully completed NBA 2K20 MyTeam Spotlight Sim squad to detail what’s the best team you can build at that point. This includes discussing the galaxy opal James Harden and various other players from this set.

Prince Horton checks back in with part two in his Dunk Lords video series. In part one, he gave an overview of the game, and so in this one he goes deeper with this arcade basketball title from Story Fort.

In his second video for Operation Sports, DBG explains why the LA Clippers’ Brent Barry is the most underrated MyTeam card in NBA 2K20.

In this week’s episode of Coach’s Corner, we continue our discussion of the read option from last week with a closer look at running the play out of Pistol formations, adding a lead blocker to the mix, and running the speed option, power read and shovel option as complementary plays to make your read game even better.

So while the league “paused” the season in hopes of resuming the season at some point in the future, why should we wait? Furthermore, while the NHL remains optimistic about resuming the 2019-2020 season, no one can really say for sure when or if that will happen. So, with no real answers on when or how the real NHL might come back, we here at Operation Sports decided to see what would happen if the NHL resumed play tomorrow and jumped right into the Stanley Cup Playoffs using the current standings. Our apologizes to fans of the current bubble teams who were battling for those final playoff spots. Perhaps, we will at a later time do a what-if simulation and see what would of happened if a team like the New York Rangers crept into the playoffs.

Recently, I covered how NHL 20 could appeal to casual fans and those looking to get back into the series. I glowed about the polish since I played last (NHL 18), and embarked upon my own expansion draft franchise. I loved it in 2018 as I had limited player familiarity and no regional team to support, so I was thrilled to see create-a-team, expansion draft and division realignment all featured in NHL 20.

The two Diamond Dynasty events that have been held in MLB The Show 20 thus far may have been titled “The Show Goes On” but, given the fact that no real-life baseball seems to be on the horizon in the near future, a more apt title might be “The Show Must Go On.” With everyone desperate for a baseball fix or the sweet sights of any competitive sports at all really (just please, no more televised HORSE), it’s business as usual in the world of The Show and no virus (unless it’s a computer one?) can stop that from happening.

Discussions about a sports game can sometimes be hard to have in a large group online because there’s a lot of inherited knowledge that comes with millions of hours of gameplay among folks at a place like Operation Sports. It creates an environment where you have a lot of passion, but also a lot of pent up frustration if many people are experiencing issues that have happened a bunch of times over many hours. When there is more than one “major” issue, it makes it even harder because things get scattershot and focus can be lost in the criticism and tracking of the issues.

mlb the show 20 fielding bugs

The categories I’ll now cover include situation-specific issues, legacy issues, non-issues and issues introduced via patches. This is a more diverse group, and some of the stuff I’ll talk about is relatively rare. This is also the area where there can be more debate about the problems themselves and how important or unimportant they are.

These are tough times for everyone. Game development and team collaboration is more difficult than ever with the social distancing measures currently in place. The inability for a development team to collaborate and innovate quickly is proving increasingly difficult. The ability to bounce around code, files or even ideas for that matter is challenging. That being said, the point remains that fielding right now in MLB The Show 20 is in a rough spot.

If there is anything else you would like to see in the OS weekly wrap-up, feel free to let us know in this post. Otherwise, enjoy getting caught up and we will see you next Sunday.
