Back in December, I looked at a scenario where the NBA offseason could have turned out differently and how that could have changed the course of the NBA season. After all the new trades and signings took place, it was two teams who weren’t changed at all that went to the NBA Finals in my simulation. Part two has some teams and players with different looks, but a few contenders remain unchanged. In what I promise will be the least believable version of this series, let’s revisit the rules and take a division-by-division look at how the summer unfolded.

Operation Sports is once again looking to expand. We are looking for someone to work alongside myself and Steve to help nurture and grow the video portion of OS. We are looking for someone who cares deeply about sports games and understands what we’re all about here at Operation Sports. We want someone who cares deeply not just about their own videos but helping others realize their potential in this area as well.

The 2020 NHL trade deadline has now come and gone, and as always it was extremely busy. This year in particular — with so many teams being “in the mix” — the tight playoff races were expected to produce a flurry of activity as teams loaded up for the stretch run. Furthermore, this year some teams chose not to wait until deadline day and went out ahead of the February 24 trade deadline to get the player or players they felt their team needed. The weeks leading up to the trade deadline saw some big deals go down, and as mentioned earlier, 20-plus trades went down on deadline day itself. With that many deals coming together, it took some time to unpack it all.

Bigben loves to tackle (and publish) unique digital sports that many would consider niche, and their latest effort is no different. Overpass focuses on the world of extreme off-road “racing” where the environment is just as much of a competitor as the other drivers. It’s almost like a puzzle game mixed with Trials and a racing game. In other words, the pitch is forget what you know about racing, as the new title from Zordix Racing pushes you past those boundaries and asks you to be ready to tackle the track in a way that has rarely been available in any other racing game.

This week’s MLB The Show 20 livestream featured custom leagues, a new game mode that combines a little bit of diamond dynasty with what you might know about other online leagues. To be clear, this is not online franchise, and it was never stated as such. We’ll clear up what that means in terms of what’s not there at the end.

“No one grows up wanting to be Gary Neville.” – Jamie Carragher

Ten years ago this quote from Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher about his former international teammate and Man United great Gary Neville held true, but thankfully the position has gone through a bit of evolution. From out-and-out defenders to players equally adept at attacking and defending, the fullback position is important to your offensive approach and defensive approach. With this in mind, here are five potential fullback targets under the age of 21. Before unveiling the list, just as we did with the Top 5 Keepers Under 21 and Top 5 Center Backs Under 21, it’s important to understand a few “under the hood” attributes that have a large impact on defenders.

If there is anything else you would like to see in the OS weekly wrap-up, feel free to let us know in this post. Otherwise, enjoy getting caught up and we will see you next Sunday.
