Our own head of OS video, Brian Mazique, will be running a tournament filled with custom teams he’s creating that put together the best World Series lineup for each MLB franchise — with exceptions made where needed.

This is not a fusion of various World Series teams, rather it’s just the very best lineups for each franchise that ever made it to the World Series. This means you will see just one Yankees team with players from one year, not Derek Jeter mixing in a lineup with Mickey Mantle and so on. If a franchise has never made a World Series, then Brian will simply take the team that made it the closest to that ultimate goal.

Prince of OverBro Media came through with a second look at The Art of Boxing. This time he takes us through a look at the career mode from the early access game on Steam. Remember, this is a very early build and the game could look different once it’s released.

DBG checks in today with a diamond Dennis Scott review. This budget beast is somebody who can be utilized both in Unlimited and TTO, and he’s someone who can be effective off the dribble and in catch-and-shoot situations.

As popular as the Super Mega Baseball franchise is at this point, folks who have not played the series still far outweigh those who have played it. Prince is one of those people who has never played SMB until now, so he gives his Super Mega Baseball 3 first impressions here in his latest video for Operation Sports.

Maybe, it’s just the old-school gamer in me, but I thoroughly enjoy the way Rivals looks and feels. Players don’t feel too fast or “arcade-like” and there’s plenty of realism to go around. For me, besides the promising gameplay, I find myself getting lost in the retro graphics. Sure, players don’t differentiate much from one another, but it truly feels like an updated version of the early Nintendo games.

There’s a ton of potential with Rivals, and I think with the right time and development, this could be one of the most anticipated sports games later in the year. Of course, that depends mostly on how far along we are in development. Either way, I have a tangible amount of excitement for this title, and that’s rare for me these days.

As I mentioned previously, there are some features missing like a replay system and stadium creator, but Super Mega Baseball 3 hits a home run in about every other way. The game blends old school with innovation in a seamless fashion and is accessible to the masses. SMB 3 offers an amazingly good time for those looking for longevity or a simple quick game of baseball that can walk the line between arcade and simulation.

Whether you are a baseball fan or not, Super Mega Baseball 3 offers enough depth and fun for newcomers and veterans, which makes it a must-buy for both groups. The accessibility factor is through the roof in terms of difficulty and customization options for all skill levels, and I have no doubt that SMB 3 will be a strong addition to your rotation of games for months on end.
