PGA Tour 2K25: The Best 3 Holes at Lone Grove Golf Course

Who doesn't like a good eagle opportunity?

PGA Tour 2K25 has some new features, including adding the majors (with one noticeable exception). But it’s no surprise that The Masters and Augusta National are absent from the game. As we know, Augusta can play hard to get for companies. So this means we see the return of The Legends Championship in MyCareer, which fans of the game should be quite familiar with by now.

Instead of winning the Green Jacket, you can unlock the Red Jacket for completing the Legends quest during your career. On your ambitious journey to becoming a Legends Championship winner, you’ll be tackling Lone Grove Golf Course, which is 2K and HB Studios’ version of Augusta.

Now, it’s obviously not the same as the iconic course in Georgia, but it’s still a really fun course in PGA Tour 2K25 and it takes clear inspiration from the historic home of The Masters. And you’ll notice that inspiration very early in your round. Plus, it’s a popular course with players, having nearly a five-star rating.

While I feel very confident that 2K will eventually get their hands on the Augusta license with EA’s PGA game basically being abandoned once again, a course like Lone Grove (and the great community designs) can give you a small whiff of that former plant nursery. Giving Lone Grove its flowers, here are the three best holes on the course.

Hole 5 – Par 4

This here is where you’ll start to see the clear Amen Corner inspiration in Lone Grove’s design in PGA Tour 2K25. The fifth hole will remind you of a shorter version of the famous 13th hole at Augusta, only the green is on the right and not the left. What’s interesting is that this is similar to Augusta’s original layout where Amen Corner was on the front nine holes instead of the back. Being able to play a hole like this so early in the round is good fun.

Hole 12 – Par 5

This is arguably the most fun hole at Lone Grove. This par 5 takes inspiration from the 15th at Augusta known as Firethorn. What makes this hole so fun is that you can reach the green in two, and anytime you have a hole that can open the door for an eagle opportunity, you just start to lick your chops. Get too greedy, though, and it might come back to bite you. Fortunately, the 12th at Lone Grove in PGA Tour 2K25 is a little more forgiving than the 15th at Augusta.

Hole 13 – Par 4

From 12 we move straight to hole 13, and there’s not really any Augusta inspiration for this one. This is a Lone Grove original and it’s probably the course’s most distinctive. You start off by hitting your tee shot over a creek. After that, your second shot could be a full swing with the wedge, or if you’re closer you could probably pitch it up onto the green that’s tucked cozily up against some trees. This is one of those holes where you just know you’re coming down the home stretch at The Legends Championship even without looking at what hole number it is.
