Pro Rally Drivers React to the EA Sports WRC Season Expansion

The EA Sports WRC team shared a new video highlighting the world’s top rally drivers as they tackle the upcoming EA Sports WRC 2024 Season Expansion. Ahead of its release on October 8, EA Sports interviewed leading drivers from the World Rally Championship to gather their impressions of the new expansion. The video captures their reactions as they navigate the new locations, ORLEN 80th Rally Poland and Tet Rally Latvia, for the first time.

Masters of the track: Dani Sordo (Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT), Adrien Fourmaux, Grégoire Munster (M-Sport Ford WRT), Elfyn Evans, Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT), and Hayden Paddon (Hyundai Customer Racing) all got to grips with their current cars, and praised the level of authenticity and similarities to the real-life experience. 2023 ERC Champion, Haydon Paddon was enamoured with his time in the sim, stating, “The handling of the car is supreme. Definitely the best rally game I’ve played and I look forward to when the expansion’s officially released.”

The 2024 Season Expansion introduces five new cars across the three main WRC categories. In the WRC category, players will have access to the Ford Puma Rally1 HYBRID ’24, the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 HYBRID ’24, and the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 HYBRID ’24. In the WRC2 category, the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 joins the lineup, while the Junior WRC category features the Ford Fiesta Rally3 Evo.

Over 50 liveries and crews from the current FIA World Rally Championship season are included. All of these liveries are available to use across all supported game modes, and the real-world driver and co-driver pairings will act as AI opponents. 

The Le Maestros Content Pack is set for release in Winter 2024, followed by the Hard Chargers Content Pack in Spring 2025. All three content packs are included in the EA Sports WRC Season Expansion bundle, though pricing has not yet been announced. Existing EA Sports WRC players will need to buy the Season Expansion bundle or individual packs. New players can purchase EA Sports WRC with the 2024 Season Expansion bundle included.
