Today, we’re looking at the rarest cars in Forza Horizon 5. As Forza Horizon 5 is jam-packed with different cars, from hypercars to budget road cars, it’s not surprising that some cars are harder to get than others.
Some cars have been made available through the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist challenges, meaning that you will not have these cars if you were not playing the game when these challenges appeared. This means you can only get your hands on these rare cars through the Wheelspin or Auction House. However, some of these are so rare that it’s unlikely they even appear in the auction house. And if they do, the players know what they are worth and put them up for ridiculous prices.
So here is a list of the rarest cars in Forza Horizon 5. If you have any of these, you can boast to other FH5 drivers, and if you have all of them, you have a top-tier car collection.
Rarest Cars In Forza Horizon 5
1. McLaren 12C Coupé
Manufacturer: McLaren
Rating: S1 832
Speed: 7.6
Handling: 6.1
Acceleration: 6.4
Launch: 6.9
Braking: 6.3
Offroad: 5.1
The McLaren 12C Coupé features on this list as a highly sought-after car in Forza Horizon 5. It was featured briefly in the Festival Playlist but has not been featured as a Backstage Pass car. Even if you look at the Auction House, it only pops up occasionally and is sold quickly. Also, it goes for quite a bit in the Auction House, and you will have to fight other bidders for it.
McLaren is known for producing some of the best luxury road cars in the world. You will also know the name well if you are an F1 fan. The 12C has a coupé and a convertible hard-top version known as the “Spider.” The 12C has been in GT3 races as an MP4-12C and has won a few races in these events.
In Forza Horizon 5, the car sounds excellent, giving you the true McLaren mix of F1 components packed into a road car. The handling isn’t amazing, and there are more powerful cars out there, so I doubt drivers will find many events and races where this car is relevant.
2. Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon 1946
Manufacturer: Ford
Rating: D 124
Speed: 3.4
Handling: 3.8
Acceleration: 1.7
Launch: 2.0
Braking: 1.7
Offroad: 6.0
The Ford 1946 Super Deluxe Station Wagon was only available during Series 14 of the Festival Playlist. If you missed your chance to bag the car there, you might have to pay big bucks to add it to your collection. It’s not the best car to drive or race, but it certainly looks great in photos and suits Sunday drivers looking for a casual cruise.
Many Ford cars are available in Forza Horizon 5, but this Ford 1946 Super Deluxe Station Wagon is by far the rarest. If you have the previous versions of Horizon, you would have seen this car before. It was even a Barn Find in FH3. Also, if you’re a fan of Forza Motorsport, this car is featured in FM7.
This is a car for the collectors in FH5 as it is a classic station wagon that stands out from other cars in the game. The wooden side paneling makes all the difference, giving it a classic feel that looks beautiful driving through Mexico’s landscape, especially at sunset.
3. Ferrari California T 2014
Manufacturer: Ferrari
Rating: A 784
Speed: 7.2
Handling: 6.1
Acceleration: 5.7
Launch: 6.1
Braking: 6.2
Offroad: 4.5
The Ferrari 2014 California T is the rarest Ferrari and one of the rarest cars on the entire Forza Horizon 5 roster. The 2014 California was the first front-engine Ferrari to have a V8 engine. In 2014, the California T added a turbocharger to really boost its performance. Since then, it has been a highly sought-after car thanks to its combination of looks and performance.
This is no different in FH5, where drivers want a varied collection of great-looking cars. But good luck getting your hands on it because this car can not be won from a Wheelspin or Super Wheelspin and is rarely featured in the Auction House. Your only chance to pick up this car was during Series 7 and Series 15 of the Festival Playlist. And even when it reappeared in Series 15, you had to rack up a lot of points for it.
Even though it is rare, the Ferrari 2014 California T is not the best Ferrari to drive. You will have much more fun in more common Ferraris as they have much better handling, braking, and overall rating. Regardless, it’s a car that will make you stand out from others on the map.
4. Ferrari F8 Tributo 2019
Manufacturer: Ferrari
Rating: S1 891
Speed: 8.4
Handling: 8.2
Acceleration: 7.2
Launch: 7.9
Braking: 8.1
Offroad: 4.4
The Ferrari F8 Tributo 2019 is less rare than the Ferrari above, but is much more fun to drive thanks to its impressive power. The F8 Tributo has only appeared in the Festival Playlist three times (Series 7, 10, 26), so it is incredibly hard to find. Combine this rarity with its performance, and you can imagine how much you have to spend in the Auction House to add it to your collection, if you can even find it there.
It’s a rear-wheel drive Ferrari with a powerful 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This engine is considered to be one of the most powerful Ferraris that have ever produced. And Forza does a great job of making this engine sound as mean in the game as it is in real life. You will find that this car can push over 200 mph in the game.
The Ferrari F8 Tributo 2019 is a beautiful, modern car that does the Ferrari name justice. In FH5, you can use this car for a number of different races and challenges. I am particularly a fan of the handling and breaking, making it perfect for both highway driving and ripping through smaller towns.
5. Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione 2007
Manufacturer: Alfa Romeo
Rating: A755
Speed: 7.0
Handling: 5.3
Acceleration: 5.4
Launch: 5.5
Braking: 4.9
Offroad: 5.2
The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione 2007 has featured in almost every Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon to date. This tells us Playground must love the driving experience this car gives its drivers. It is also a testament to how iconic the car is.
In other Forza Horizon games, the 8C Competizione has been easily available to purchase from the Autoshow. In Forza Horizon 5, this car has only appeared once in Series 24 of the Festival Playlist. Even though it has only appeared once, due to its price, it may be easier to find at the Auction House than the cars above.
For Alfa Romeo fans, the 8C Competizione 2007 is the perfect example of a modern Alfa, providing a great driving experience while having a unique and unmistakable look. Forza does a great job of translating this car into the game as well. It won’t be your go-to car for online races, but it definitely provides you with a fun driving experience, especially if you want to throw drifts around corners casually.
6. Morris Minor Series II Traveler 1953
Manufacturer: Morris
Rating: D 100
Speed: 2.2
Handling: 3.8
Acceleration: 1.2
Launch: 2.0
Braking: 2.0
Offroad: 6.4
If you’re a fan of classic cars in FH5, then the Morris Minor Series II Traveler is one you wish to have in your collection, much like the Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon. In fact, the two cars have a lot of similarities in terms of looks and the driving experience. Both cars won’t get where you need to go fast, but you will certainly enjoy the drive along the way.
The Morris Minor Series II Traveler 1953 only appeared on the Festival Playlist once during Series 14. So, if you didn’t get it, it will be hard to pick it up now. The car should be cheap, but because it is so rare, you won’t find it for cheap in the Auction House. In fact, you’ll be lucky to find it at all.
The Morris Traveler is a classic station wagon that is one of the more enjoyable slow cars in FH5. It also looks stunning in the Mexican landscape, which makes it great for players who like using the photo mode feature. This car is also perfect for cruising around the map with your friends.
Additionally, the Moris Mino 1000 is a rare classic car that is similar to this one.
7. Toyota Supra 2.0 GT 1992
Manufacturer: Toyota
Rating: C 558
Speed: 5.4
Handling: 4.6
Acceleration: 4.1
Launch: 2.7
Braking: 3.0
Offroad: 5.5
The Toyota Supra 2.0 GT 1992 has only been featured on the Festival Playlist once, but there are other ways to get your hands on this car as it’s one of the rare cars you can pull from a Wheelspin.
Even though it has only been featured in Series 34, you can find other featured challenges that give you this car. Thanks to these different methods, the Toyota Supra 2.0 GT 1992 is much easier to get from the Auction House than some others on this list. It may still take some time to find, but you won’t have to pay big bucks like for the Ferraris.
Any Supra is ideal for a racing game as it can be used for a number of different racing styles. The Supra is a staple Japanese car that is as at home on the streets as it is on the race track. So, in FH5, this car provides both a fun drive and great opportunities for customization.
8. Sierra Cars 700R 2021
Manufacturer: Sierra Cars
Rating: D 414
Speed: 2.7
Handling: 5.6
Acceleration: 4.1
Launch: 6.9
Braking: 6.3
Offroad: 8.3
If rare off-road cars are your thing, you’ll want to ensure you get the Sierra Cars 700R in your collection. It’s the first time this car has ever been featured in a Forza game, and it’s perfect for taking on the desert roads of Mexico. The car features a Yamaha Raptor 700r engine inside this buggy, allowing you to get up to 85mph.
This 700R has only featured in the festival Playlist twice (during Series 18 and 38) and is considered to be the rarest off-road car in the game. For this reason, a number of collectors keep buying additional versions of this car from the Auction House to resell at higher prices. This means that if you see it for cheap, snap it up quickly!
This car’s driving experience is brilliant, especially if you are in the first-person camera view. Also, as it’s such a brilliant car with a great launch stat, you should use this car for normal driving, especially on tracks with a lot of corners.
9. Mini Cooper S Forza Edition Mk. II 1965
Manufacturer: Mini
Rating: A 800
Speed: 5.6
Handling: 6.9
Acceleration: 7.9
Launch: 9.2
Braking: 5.0
Offroad: 4.6
A number of FH drivers are constantly searching for the Mini Cooper S Forza Edition 1965. This is not just because they want it for their collection, but also because it’s an excellent car for some money glitch races. The Forza Edition Mk. II takes the Mini Cooper S and converts it into an all-wheel-drive, fully electric car with 235 BHP. Just look at the Launch stats combined with its Acceleration and Handling.
You only have had two opportunities to get this car through the Festival Playlist in Series 5 and 31. As it is a highly sought-after car, I won’t be surprised if we see it in the Festival Playlist again. Additionally, it is possible to pick up this car through a Wheelspin or Super Wheelspin. But, like other cars on this list, good luck trying to find it in the Auction House.
All Mini Coopers have a certain charm, but this FE Mk. II looks like it’s straight out of a modern Italian Job, ready to nip through tunnels and tight streets. If you use this car for races with a lot of corners, you will see how much fun it is to drive and how easily you can handle your opponents.
10. Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 2018
Manufacturer: Lamborghini
Rating: S1 889
Speed: 8.0
Handling: 8.5
Acceleration: 8.3
Launch: 7.6
Braking: 8.2
Offroad: 4.6
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is the final car on this list, but it may be close to the top of yours. It is an all-wheel-drive sports car that performs at the highest level, giving FH fans a true taste of modern Italian car manufacturing. It has a 6.5 V12 engine that produces 759 BHP. Combine this with its lightweight approach, and it is an absolute bullet on the roads.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ has only been featured as a prize in the Festival Playlist twice during Series 2 and Series 24, so it’s been quite a while since a new range of players have been able to attain this car. This makes it particularly hard to buy in the Auction House, as no one wants to let go of theirs. However, this car can be acquired through a Backstage pass ticket.
The car looks and sounds great in Forza Horizon. I particularly enjoy driving it in third-person camera view, as the back of this car looks spectacular. Also, this car has loads of customization options, giving you a powerful car that is likely to leave your opponents in the dust. Thanks to its Breaking and Acceleration, it is especially good in the corners.
