Sloclap has announced that Rematch, first revealed during The Game Awards’ Opening Act in December, is set to launch on June 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam.
Rematch is all about capturing the nonstop intensity of the beautiful game. It strips things down to the essentials, no fouls, no offsides, no VAR, just pure competitive action. Players take control of a single athlete in fast-paced 5v5 matchups or dive into quickplay modes that shift with the flow of the game. The fluid, reactive gameplay draws on Sloclap’s experience with dynamic movement, something they nailed in their indie hit Sifu.
Built for online multiplayer, Rematch focuses on tight, skill-based gameplay where success comes down to sharp passes, smart reads, and well-timed shots. In addition to its main 5v5 mode, it offers quick play options and plans to roll out seasonal content after launch, including new modes and cosmetic gear.

Rematch will be available in three editions. The Standard Edition releases on June 19, but those who pick up the Pro or Elite Editions will be able to jump in early starting June 16.
Rematch beta test phases will be held in the coming weeks to fine-tune the online features and gather feedback. The beta is invite-only, with keys being sent out to those who sign up for the newsletter. Players can register here for a chance to grab an early spot on the pitch.
